3ware error
...sectors (399943 MB)
SCSI device sda: drive cache: write back, no read (daft)
sda: sda1 sda2
Attached scsi disk sda at scsi0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0
Any clues ?
It is a Centos 4.2 I386 system (fully updated) and it appears to be working
with no problems except this error.
(The controller has 6 x 80Gbyte 7200 SATA drives attached in raid 5 config)
Thanks

I am thinking of using this controller with 8 x 80gbyte SATA drives an Raid
5, on Centos 4.x does anyone have experience of this type of setup and what
type of performance can I expect on a AMD dual 2.8Ghz MP cpu system with 2gb
ram?
Thanks

re large files with 2.2.7a
...e file ( >2 gbyte) to the unix machine. and i also tried to do a
normal smbclient login and then to "get" the file. the smbclient -T starts
to trunc the file, it's suddenly much smaller. the get in the smbclient
shell let's the file growth infinte, until it fills the whole hdd (80Gbyte
:-( ) any idea?
(we got around it with having smaller backups, and doing most of the stuff
with smbclient -T directly out of the main directorys, not the windows
backup. but that's not really, what i want/like.
thx

We are running Solaris 10 11/06 on a Sun V240 with 2 CPUS and 8 GB of memory. This V240 is attached to a 3510 FC that has 12 x 300 GB disks. The 3510 is configured as HW RAID 5 with 10 disks and 2 spares and it''s exported to the V240 as a single LUN.
We create iso images of our product in the following way (high-level):
# mkfile 3g /isoimages/myiso
