A question about Starcraft IPX
I don't know if I should be posting this here, and if this newsgroup
is the incorrect one, could someone point me in the right direction?
Just a question, I have SC working fine on my linux box
with wine.. but when I go to play a LAN game with IPX
ipx_interface add -p eth0 802.2 0A0A0A00:09
ipx_route add 0A0A0A00 0A0A0A00 0A0A0A09
it see's the game, but is "Unable to join

IPX support in Starcraft - Why can't I get it working?
I can't seem to get IPX going in Starcraft. It gives me "Unable to
initialize network provider" in a pretty dialog box (as per usual). I have
IPX in kernel, the interface configured for 802.2 frame type, and some IPX
RIP/SAP daemon going. The kernel's IPX is configured without the "Full
internal IPX network" thing. Apparently (from my reading) this would be a

IPX Issues
I followed the entire Starcraft/WinE HOWTO located at
http://koti.mbnet.fi/~hoppq/sc-howto.html
Starcraft now works just fine, except the Local Area (IPX) part doesn't
work.
My interface (eth0) is configured as follows:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:50:04:82:F7:A7
inet addr:192.168.1.2 Bcast:192.168.1.255
Mask:255.255.255.0
IPX/Ethernet 802.3

[Bridge] BR2684-rt and brctl
Hello,
I am wondering if any of you knows how to add BR2684-rt nas
interfaces into a Ethernet bridge, I know that brctl will work with
BR2684-br, but not for BR2684-rt.
Many thanks!

[Bridge] PF_PACKET socket

2.4.20 kernel
I have 2 network interfaces eth0 & eth1 connected via bridge br0. eth0
and eth1 do not have IPs, br0 may or may not have an IP. Not planning
on using ebtables package to solve this problem.....
Here is the first question...
If a user space process wants to intercept packets entering eth0 for a

[Bridge] bridge in 'hub' mode possible?
Is it somehow possible to configure a bridge in 'hub' mode. So that
every packet sent from a 'port' (eg. an interface) is delivered to
every other 'port' on the bridge.
That is, effectively to just turn off MAC address learning and treat
all packets on the bridge level effectively as broadcasts.
Or could this be done with some ebtables hack?
Suggestions appreciated,

IPX works via wired network, not via wireless
Hi All,
I have installed Atomic Bomberman as described here:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Atomic_bomberman
When I connect 2 PC's running linux via networkcables and a switch, IPX works perfectly. I start the game on both PC's, set PC A to "Start Network game" via IPX, and PC B to "Join network game". Now PC B can see the game of PC A, connect to it, and then

Anyonw know how to do this?
I tried both wine-20010216 and todays CVS.

Proper setup for Broadcast, Multicast? (large mail)
Hello,
I have some questions regarding the proper tinc configuration to allow
IP-broadcasting, IPX etc. aka the complete gaming setup.
I searched the net and did not find a working (or well enough documented)
solution for my needs.
Let me describe what I want and what I tried so far and what worked or
failed.
I want to use the following setup with three machines (all with the same

Newbie-needs help
Hello all:
I''ve read the documentation and am not quite sure where to start.
What I''m trying to do is build a network with a 3 NIC Shorewall router.
My system is behind a routed /49 network.
I''d like to use 2 or 3 of the static IP addresses for my DMZ ( DNS server, mail, webserver etc ) and
then have my remaining machines in a private network NATed is some way.

IPX and AMD64 not mixing?
I've searched the forums for AMD64 and IPX but couldn't find a solution here. I am running Debian Lenny 2.6.26-1-amd64 on an AMD Turion 64x2 1.60GHz system with 1GB of RAM. I have Wine running and it runs my older games just fine (this is a laptop with an ATI1100M so no new games here!) but it doesn't seem to work with IPX. I installed the IPX tools package and ran the commands

[RFC] treewide: cleanup unreachable breaks
From: Tom Rix <trix at redhat.com>
This is a upcoming change to clean up a new warning treewide.
I am wondering if the change could be one mega patch (see below) or
normal patch per file about 100 patches or somewhere half way by collecting
early acks.
clang has a number of useful, new warnings see

Hi,
I have a question about estimating IRT models by using nlme, not just rasch
model, but also other models.
