Cisco 802.11b VoIP phone?
I wonder if anyone could send me a pointer to technical specs and pricing information. I got a mail today from an acquaintence that contains what I believe is some serious misinformation, referring to the 7960 as their new portable 802.11b SIP phone. A quick search of eBay would seem to refute that. I hope this is an OK question to ask. . . Thx. b.

Hi folks! First post here, so please don't bother if it's not the right place to post those kind of questions. I'm currently running a 4.7-release (upgrade to 4.8 planned but not yet started) on my production box. As I would like to setup a small WLAN (major use for my notebook, other clients are possible) I need to know which cards are really supported. The handbook is IMHO not

SIP on Handhelds
Does anyone know if SIP will/is support on handheld PCs such as the iPaq or Axiom? With their integrated 802.11b and Bluetooth it seems like a solution to provide a wireless based sip phone for any user would be possible. Handoff between access points might be problematic but most users I know would be using their PDA phone in an airport with free wireless or at the local cafe, etc, etc... Can

Asterisk in a rural project
We have working in a rural project and I have selected Asterisk. Because * will work with a prepay system we need a precise answer supervision for outgoing calls. The pilot system will have 8 trunks to PSTN. The Telephone Company provides EURO BRI and analog CO trunks. On CO trunks the answer supervision is reversal polarity. The village to be served will be connected through a WLAN. Thus,

Hi there, yesterday I came across the "Vocera Communication Badge" and now I'd like to know if anyone here has played with that thing (or even just seen it in real life), and if a price tag can be found for this device? Wireless newtworking in CentOS 5
Installed CentOS 5 on my Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop, hoping that it will be easier to set up wireless networking than it was in CentOS 4.4. But still sooooo difficult to get it working, mainly because there doesn't appear to be a driver pre-installed for this wireless card ((Dell wireless 1390 Mini PCI network card 802.11b/g). Do I still have to use ipw2200 and what is this anyway? - I really

ath(4) for D-Link G520M on 5.5-R?
I just got the D-Link DWL-G520M PCI wireless card. I'm not interested in super-G or any other post-802.11b feature in particular; the reason I got it was because the marketing materials hinted that (at least some revision of it) had the Atheros chipset. It isn't recognized at all by ath(4) on 5.5. Here is the pciconf -lv section: none0@pci0:14:0: class=0x020000 card=0x3a681186

Linux choices ?
First of all, My apologies for this maybe slight OT post, but I have so much confidence and read so much good replies on this list, that I am still asking my question. I''m looking for a linux distribution to use on our school''s homemade routers. The routers are small miniITX based systems with 2 network interfaces. I added a 4 port D-Link network card in some cases, when I
