New /boot/message file?
I've just updated my 5.8 box and there's a new kernel to be installed. Looking at /boot/ directory I see this file called message: -rw-r--r-- root root 80032 Mar 12 2009 message Can anyone twll me what this message file is for please? Is this a new grub or kernel file? HELP, I accidentally initialized my /boot partition
So I installed a second drive in my system today, and instead of typing "mkfs.ext3 /dev/sda1" I did a "mkfs.ext3 /dev/hda1". Fortunately, that was just my /boot partition. I thought I could just copy the contents from the /boot partition from another system, but that didn't work as expected. The again, I don't have another system that's identical to the

XEN on CentOS 5.5 - Cannot create VM using Local Install (grayed out)
Hello community! I''m running into some strange problem with my CentOS while trying to create a new VM using virt-manager. I''m connected locally and when I''m following the wizard, at the time it asks me to select the installation option I can only select Network Install. Howto install domU CentOS 5 directly on partition
Hi. I am new to CentOS (Debian user) and I am looking for way how to install CentOS 5 on domU in the way that I have it directly on dom0 LVM partition. If I install it with virtual-manager then the installation program takes that partition as a disk and then creates new partitions on it. I don''t want it that way because I cannot then mount it from dom0. Is there some way how to
