Replacing all NA values in a matrix
...in a matrix at once with some other value. I can do it column by column using is.na(), but I can't figure out how to do it for the whole matrix. Rd problems when converting DVI version

Greek characters in plots
...reates 100s of graphs, and I need to use the greek CAPITAL letter delta in the mtext() function. I got as far as expression(delta) but this gives me the lowercase version. Can anyone help? Xvfb and R
...may be wrong. Can anyone explain what is happening, and if I can make R/Xvfb create a DIFFERENT file, say in /tmp/, with a unique name, everytime a cgi script is run? Mtext doesn't display characters in italic when I use a greek symbol
...t isn't in italics, it's normal. I presume this is some interplay with bquote(), or perhaps R doesn't know the italics version of the capital greek delta character? Any idea how I can get it into italics? cbind() and factors.
...er, if I cbind my data frame (which has no factors in it) and the results of rainbow() (which is a vector, not a factor), then for some reason the new column is a factor...??
