Grandstreams randomly go busy with Asterisk?
...#39;t find anything exactly like this. I have two Grandstream BT101 phones connected to an Asterisk. Asterisk executable suddenly about 40KB larger - modules
...ks Tony!) and I'll see if that helps. Interesting thing I've now discovered (had this failure again at the head office this morning) is the "growth" in the file's size is precipitated by Asterisk crashing with (in /var/log/messages): Jan 8 06:13:27 veridial kernel: asterisk[7856]: segfault at 00002aaaaaae0900 rip 00002aaaaaae0900 rsp 0000000041e9ad88 error 15 So the sequence is the running Asterisk segfaults, and when it is restarted ODBC functionality is broken and the executable in /usr/sbin is += 40kb larger than before. As for the segfault, when it happened yesterday...

DomU in it''s own LVM partition fails to boot CentOS 5.2 Dom0/U
I''m trying to do what I think would be relatively simple but can''t seem to make it work. Essentially I want to create several domU''s running CentOS each with it''s own LVM partition for increased performance over image files. gzip compression throttles system?
I just had a quick play with gzip compression on a filesystem and the result was the machine grinding to a halt while copying some large (.wav) files to it from another filesystem in the same pool. The system became very unresponsive, taking several seconds to echo keystrokes. The box is a maxed out AMD QuadFX, so it should have plenty of grunt for this. Comments? Ian
