strange slowness of plot
I just ran into this strange behavior.

x <- seq(0, length=length(y))
plot(x, y, type='l', lty=1) - instantaneous
plot(x, y, type='l', lty=2) - 18s plotting lines + 15s plotting axes
= 33s
plot(x, y, type='l', lty=3) - 76s ,, + 75s
,, = 151s
plot(x, y, type='l', lty=4) - 40s ,, + 38s
,, = 78s
A couple of observations:
(1) The plots for lty>1 seem to be rendered in "one chunk", that is a blank

I do not think that this is specifically an Asterisk problem. The
SNOM phones that we use (870s and 76s) have FW 8.7.3.25.5. On the
Update tab of the Advanced setting page there are set the update
policy and URI. In our case the settings are 'Never update, load
settings only', from URL http://192.168.6.9:83, with a refresh
interval of 600840.

bigmemory: Using backing file as alternate to write.big.matrix
Hi,
Does the backing file of a big.matrix store the contents of entire matrix?
Or does it store the portion of it that is not stored in RAM? In other
words, can the backing file be treated as a file containing the matrix's
full data?
I have been writing my big.matrix objects to disk (write.big.matrix), and
other programs that want to access this matrix then just read it in
(read.big.matrix).

Rebuild of kernel 2.6.9-67.0.20.EL failure
Hello list.
I'm trying to rebuild the 2.6.9.67.0.20.EL kernel, but it fails even without
modifications.
How did I try it?
Created a (non-root) build environment (not a mock )
Installed the kernel.scr.rpm and did a
rpmbuild -ba --target=`uname -m` kernel-2.6.spec 2> prep-err.log | tee
prep-out.log
The build failed at the end:
