Error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) when doing local rsync.

Clearly there is 12GB of space left on the device.
I have done extensive data transfers between these disks to know that
there are no hardware issues.
I can dd the whole disk /dev/hde to /dev/hdf and they copy exactly....

should now be able to do pretty much anything you want with Dovecot
proxy/director.
This release also includes the initial version of dsync-based
replication. I'm already successfully using it for @dovecot.fi

Slow read performance
Help please-
I am running 3.3.1 on Centos using a 10GB network. I get reasonable write speeds, although I think they could be faster. But my read speeds are REALLY slow.
Executive summary:
On gluster client-
Writes average about 700-800MB/s
Reads average about 70-80MB/s
On server-
Writes average about 1-1.5GB/s
Reads average about 2-3GB/s
Any thoughts?
