arrows() doesn't like zero-length arrows (PR#727)
Hi, By going through the mailing list archives, I noticed that people use the arrows() command to add error bars to their plots. I think there is a problem when trying to draw arrows of zero length. In the following code, certainly the x driver produces an odd-angled line. In the postscript device, NaNQ values are generated; when the postscript file is viewed in Ghostview, an error is then

Converting "numeric" variable to time
Hi, I have a data set where times of sample collection are (for some unknown reasons) stored as numerical values such as 727, 1134, etc., to represent the times 7:27, 11:34, etc. How can I recover these times from the numerical values? Also, can I obtain the elapsed time between two intervals? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ravi. [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Counting zeros in a matrix
...1 1 1 1 0 1 0 1 0 0 2 1 0 1 0 0 1 0 0 0 2 1 1 0 0 0 0 1 0 0 1 I tried writing a function to do this but am getting mixed up in the [i,j] coding. This is just an example the real matrix is much larger. Thanks in advance. Cameron Guenther, Ph.D. 100 8th Ave. SE St. Petersburg, Fl 33701 727-896-8626 ext. 4305 cameron.guenther at myfwc.com

Hangup extensions via CLI?
Greetings list- I'd like the ability to hangup all calls for a particular extension from the system CLI. I understand this can probably be scripted using the AMI but I'm not familiar on how to do it. Help! Tim Nelson Systems/Network Support Rockbochs Inc. (218)727-4332 x105

File Auditing with rails - File I/O issue
Hey Folks, I''ve written a script to generate a list of all files on a machine, then zip the results. ?I''m going to stick a web front end on it, and use it to audit some file servers. The problem is that the ZIP compression/decompression isn''t working, but its not what you might think. ?The script completes, but seems to not actually write anything. Here is a short
