Inconsistencies in subassignment with NA index. (PR#7210)
Apart from the inconsistencies, there are two clear bugs here: 1) miscalculating the number of values needed, in the matrix case. E.g. > AA[idx, 1] <- B[1:4] Error in "[<-"(`*tmp*`, idx, 1, value = B[1:4]) : number of items to replace is not a multiple of replacement length although only 4 values are replaced by AA[idx, 1] <- B. 2) the behaviour of the 3D case.

Inconsistencies in subassignment (PR#7210)
I have made the 3-d case do the same as the vector case, which is what the C code clearly intended (a goto label was in the wrong place). This leaves the bigger question of the right thing to do. I note that data frames give an error when any indices are NA. -thomas On Fri, 3 Sep 2004 ripley@stats.ox.ac.uk wrote: > Apart from the inconsistencies, there are two clear bugs here: > > 1)

disabling showmount -e behaviour
I must admit that this question originates in the context of Sun''s Storage 7210 product, which impose additional restrictions on the kind of knobs I can turn. But here''s the question: suppose I have an installation where ZFS is the storage for user home directories. Since I need quotas, each directory gets to be its own filesystem. Since I also need these homes to be...

Subassignments involving NAs in data frames
...] <- 2 ## Works > df2[df2 == 0] <- 2 Error: NAs are not allowed in subscripted assignments Checking an old news file I see this: o Subassignments involving NAs and with a replacement value of length > 1 are now disallowed. (They were handled inconsistently in R < 2.0.0, see PR#7210.) For data frames they are disallowed altogether, even for logical matrix indices (the only case which used to work). which leaves me to believe that the assignment for both df1 and df2 should fail ("data frame ... disallowed altogether"), however that seems not to be the case, since...

Will Echo problems EVER be solved, I'm scared
...P phones to try and a Digium TDM01B card. I am using an older PIII 1Ghz system with 815chipset (PCI Rev2.2) with 256MB for my test system. The only thing that will be different on a production system is that I will be using a newer chipset PC with faster processor and 512MB. Probably Intel 7505, 7210, or 7211 chipsets which seem to be the most compatible with Asterisk. My problem is that I cannot eliminate echo no matter what I try. I seriously doubt that a newer chipset faster PC with more memory will eliminate or even reduce my echo problems based on what I have read. I am not about to...

library(fields) world shift function not working anymore
Hi there. I just upgraded to 2.01 on Mac OS 10.3.6. I used to use the command (on R 1.9.x): world(ylim=c(-30,30), xlim = c(0,360), shift=TRUE, add=TRUE) to draw a world outline over my image plots. My data uses longitude from (0, 360) so I need to use the shift function. After I upgraded, I get the following error: > world(ylim=c(-30,30), xlim = c(0,360), shift=TRUE, add=TRUE) Error

ToneCommander
Not sure if anyone has played with one of these gems - ToneCommander 7210 -- but they do ISDN over H323 - and seem to be proprietary to Lucent / AG iMerge. I'm trying to find a way to reverse engineer it to work on a standard asterisk setup... The first thing I found with a tcpdump / ethereal is it's trying to communicate udp on 1719.. I assume that I need to r...

Error: NAs are not allowed in subscripted assignments: change from R.1.9
Hi, There seems to be a change in 2.0.1 in the workings of subscript assignments with missing values. # This is R.2.0.1 # assignment w/ missing index doesn't work when right-hand-side is a matrix. It did work in 1.9.1 > x = matrix(1, 2, 2); x[c(1,NA),] = x Error: NAs are not allowed in subscripted assignments # it does work for a vector > x = matrix(1, 2, 2); x[c(1,NA),] = 1 Is this
