Sysvol replication between DC
Hi,
I have followed the guidelines outlined in the article:
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Joining_a_Samba_DC_to_an_Existing_Active_Directory#Built-in_User_.26_Group_ID_Mappings
.
I had a doubt:
When I ran the tdbbackup -s .bak command idmap.ldb which is 2MB generated a
720k-sized idmap.ldb.bak file.
I have stopped the samba service on CD 2, replaced the idmap.ldb file with
idmap.ldb.bak, renamed .bak to .ldb and reset Sysvol, then restarted the
samba-ad-dc service. However the 2 Samba 4 idmap.ldb files (DC1 and DC2)
were different in size. This is normal?

Memory footprint
...runs in a linux embedded environment with
serious memory constraints. I would need to know how small a memory
footprint I can hope to get. I run ligthtpd with only one dispatch and
I did already remove actionmailer and actionwebservice which I do not
need. Currently top shows a memory footprint of 720K for lighttpd and
25M for the dispatch.fcgi process.
The smallest the footprint, the better so any suggestion on how to
reduce it is very well accepted.
Thank you in advance,
Emanuele.

Sysvol replication between DC
Hi,
I would like to know which the best way to replicate Sysvol between my DC
Samba 4 is with Rsync/Osync, as per the article below?
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Bidirectional_Rsync/osync_based_SysVol_replication_workaround
I have 3 Samba 4 DC.

How to verify ecc for ram is active and enabled?
Is there a method to view the status of the rams ecc single or double bit errors? I would like to confirm that ecc on my xeon e5520 and ecc ram are performing their role since memtest is ambiguous.
I am running memory test on a p6t6 ws, e5520 xeon, 2gb samsung ecc modules and this is what is on the screen:
Chipset: Core IMC (ECC : Detect / Correct)
However, further down "ECC" is
