Generate random sample interval
Hi, R users, I have a problem about how to generate random sample interval from a duration. For example, during a time duration 0-70s, I want to generate a sample which last 10s. the sample could be 0-10 or 30-40s or 25-35s etc How could I do it in R`?? Thanks a lot. iterative regressions, adding a new line of data each, time
Possibly of limited use to the original poster, but of interest more generally, there are a number of tools developed in the 70s for updating the matrix decompositions. There's at least one in my 1979 book "Compact numerical methods for computers" (still in print apparently) -- we didn't have enough space to keep all the data in the HP9830A machine. If there's sufficient interest, I can probably come...

ECDSA client question
...e is in the world. I have to admit, the tin foil hat of mine just got an alert. We know there are unexplained constants in the NIST curves including P-256 - what if NSA was partially responsible for this bug (back room deal to avoid anti-trust prosecution, similar deal with IBM was made in the 70s I believe also involving cryptography) so that Android apps that use ECDSA (beyond just the mail client, e.g. chat apps) would use P-256 for compatibility and are maybe vulnerable to MITM for the key exchange. I want Ed25519 now.

a simple Asterisk AMI interface with Delphi (or Lazarus+FreePascal)
...y written as a nostalgic cruise down the old Pascal OOP thruway, and not as a contender to the likes of FOP, etc. Pascal has nice features such as declaring any of your functions "inline"; or for that matter writing inline Assembler code which was "the" language in the '70s (that is the 1900's, by the way). The Win2K version was compiled on an old Delphi 5 compiler (and for you young'uns, that was circa 1999 when Win2K was unveiled). However, fear not, the WinXP version was compiled with the latest Delphi 2007 R2. However, I did NOT insert some require...

using Scheirer-Ray-Hare in R?
Does anyone know if a module already exists to run the Scheirer-Ray-Hare extension to Kruskal-Wallis in R, in order to run a non-parametric equivalent to a two-way ANOVA? -- View this message in context: http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/using-Scheirer-Ray-Hare-in-R-tp3594480p3594480.html Sent from the R help mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Re: Curmudgeoning (was Re: Problems with writing, Dual Layer DVD)
...f this clean up: - A still shrink wrapped copy of Windows/386 (media is 5.25 inch floppies) - A true blue (IBM logo) PC-AT (6 MHz 80286) with a full height 30MB hard drive and 1MB of RAM, DOS 3.3. Also, I've still got at least one punch card from my college days (Ohio State in the late '70s). I usually hang it on my cubicle wall when I'm working a regular gig. Halo
...e itself is quite slower than in Windows dropping below 20 in various area when I am by myself on a map and even 10 or even lower if I run a vehicle. Other times it can go as high as vsync which is 85. In windows for the short time I tested it, it pegged at 85 much of the time and also runs 60s and 70s. I think the lowest I saw was a 57 though I ran no vehicles. If anyone has any ideas about how to fix the game up so the mouse works right, and even increase the framerate if at all possible I would greatly appreciate it. Sine I followed an online tutorial for installing DirectX 9 all of a sudden...

cwrsync strange path in error message
Dear Patricia: First off, my apologies ahead of time for bothering you. I am attempting to locate a Patricia Palumbo. She worked in Doylestown, Pa., as a court officer in the '60s. She would now be somewhere in her 70s. She was a very close friend at the time, but we lost contact with one another over the years. And, no, this is NOT a romance thing. :o) By any chance, do you know her? Thank you for any information you may have. Ernie Ernest J. Dutra Official Court Reporter Rhode Island Superior Court L...

Subliminals for Compiz
Hi! I made a subliminals-script for compiz. It simply uses an existing plugin to flash text on the screen, much in the same way movie theaters did in the 70s to sell more popcorn. Only it is used by the user for a particular purpose. Use cases: * Jim wants something that's new for him and would like to grow more comfortable with it in a convenient way before he starts taking action * Sally practices daily affirmations and would like to cont...

Ogg audio surround-sound
...o, I've been thinking about how to add surround sound to Ogg -- and more than that, to do it in the best way possible. With this in mind, I started considering using Ambisonic surround sound. The advantages of this format are considerable: a) It was developed in the early to mid '70s, so the patents should be expired by now. b) It's scalable -- it can handle everything from mono, to stereo, full horizontal surround, or full 360-degree spherical surround (periphonic). c) It's based on a sound mathematical foundation (unl...
