ABI change in LLVM 7.0.x release
Hi, Fixing http://llvm.org/PR39427 in the release_70 branch, will change the ABI of a clang built libLLVM-7.so so that it is no longer compatible with the 7.0.0 release. libLLVM-7.so built by gcc will not be affected by this fix. Changing the ABI is something we aren't supposed to do in stable releases, but this fixes an ABI difference between clang and gcc built libLLVM-7.so that is

rgl build warnings and loading error on Linux
Dear useRs, I have several problems in using rgl-0.77 (and recent earlier versions) on Gentoo Linux with a custom-built v. 2.6.22 kernel. Currently I use R-2.6.1. When I build rgl, # R CMD INSTALL "/home/liviu/inst/dwn/R/rgl_0.77.tar.gz" or install.packages("rgl", dependencies=TRUE, method ="wget"), I notice the following warning messages: i686-pc-linux-gnu-g++

Launch Linux version of Firefox from Lotus Notes 7?
hopefully it's not bad form to cross post from comp.emulators.ms-windows.wine to wine-users....I apologize if so. ---------------------------------------------------------------- I'm running Notes 7.0.2 and have tried 2 versions of wine so far (0.9.30, 0.9.29). I'm going to try some in the 0.9.19-0.9.21 range since those seem to take care of another problem I've got, but my gut

Samba + Windos XP/2k + Netbench Problem
Hi all, there is a problem with the 'Default: nt smb support = yes' option in smb.conf for at least Samba 2.2.3a and 2.2.4 (on FreeBSD 4.5-STABLE) when using Netbench 7.0.2 on WXP or W2k clients. If the client is set to run 2+ Netbench engines (to simulate 2+ real clients) and 'nt smb support = yes', all but one engine fail pretty quickly, usually during a movefile oder

Possible soundness issue with available_externally (split from "RFC: Add guard intrinsics")
Just as a reality check, I wrote up a demonstration where one link order causes a SIGFPE and another doesn't (and the program is well defined, as far as I can tell). All TUs are compiled with -O3. This is also an instance where we don't actually speculate an inline function, but only DSE across it (after deducing readnone). Here's the link https://github.com/sanjoy/comdat-ipo
