6to4 suddenly stopped working to 2001: addresses
I've got three installations of FreeBSD using 6to4 in three different
physical locations, attached to three different ISPs. Sometime in the last
few days all of them have stopped talking to IPv6 addesse which are
not also 6to4. I can still talk to 2002: addresses, but not to 2001:
addresses.
This all worked fine a few days ago, and nothing has cha...

New Install for 6to4 tunnel
Folks
It appears that Comcast is using 6to4 tunnelling on all new installs
in Washington and Oregon. I am trying to install Centos 6 (latest),
and nothing I do seems to work.
My method is as follows:
The Comcast modem is directly connected to the box.
Insert the NetInstall disk and bootstrap.
Select the URL method of install, and enabl...

ipv6
Hello,
I''m reading this guide on ipv6 (really just getting my "feet wet"):
http://www.shorewall.net/6to4.htm
In the section "Configuring IPv6 using my script" I can read that the IPv6 interfaces are:
INTERFACES="eth2 eth4"
and that correlates fine with the first diagram/figure.
However, further down I read "You will notice that sit1, eth0 and eth2 each have an IPv6 address b...

IPIP Tunnel
Hi guys,
I''m trying to setup an IPIP tunnel between a Cisco router and a firewall
running Debian GNU/Linux Sarge with Shorewall 2.0.13.
I''ve read and implemented the http://shorewall.net/IPIP.htm document,
but I don''t understand why there should be at the same time a "tunnel"
and a "tunnels" script.
Shorewall still refuses to let the

DocBook XML conversion progress
Everyone,
Progress was slow today. I started out well, but then I ran into
Documentation.htm. Progress slowed considerably, as I analyzed the
document structure. I''m up to /etc/shorewall/hosts Configuration. I hope
to finish Documentation.xml by tomorrow evening.
Converted documents:
6to4.xml
CorpNetwork.xml
FAQ.xml
Please post feedback, if you see any problems with the converted
content. Thanks.

Shorewall 1.4.3
...es have been corrected.
2) The rules for allowing all traffic via the loopback interface have
been moved to before the rule that drops status=INVALID
packets. This insures that all loopback traffic is allowed even if
Netfilter connection tracking is confused.
New Features:
1) IPV6-IPV4 (6to4) tunnels are now supported in the
/etc/shorewall/tunnels file.
2) Shorewall can now be easily integrated with fireparse
(http://www.fireparse.com) by setting LOGMARKER="fp=" in
/etc/shorewall/shorewall.conf. Note: You may not use ULOG
with fireparse unless you modify firepars...

IPv6 Host and Router.
I have a connection to an ISP with a 6to4 tunnel. I can ping and route through my
linux box, but I can''t connect to services on the box from local subnets. For
example I am trying to get a BGP connection up with Zebra over the Tunnel. I can
see the BGP Syn requests from them, but my box does not respond. I have another
tunnel...

Digium TDM400P in Soekris net5501-70?
Hello -
I've been running Asterisk (quite happily!) for several years now
using a Digium TDM400P card in an old Linux box (P4 1.6 w/ 256MB RAM).
I'm also running another old PC running m0n0wall as a firewall.
Between these two boxes, that run 24x7, I'm drawing a lot more power
than needed and hoping to make a dent in my monthly electric bill by
consolidating the two into a single box
