will C5.3 support a SmartArray 6i 'out of box', or does it need drivers to boot from this? I am advising someone else remotely and don't have the hardware handy to test.

Oracle 6i on Wine
I wanted to run an application on network drive. I successfully mounted the network drive as a mounted local directory and executed the EXE file through Wine. The exe file now for its associate file instead of in that mounted local directory searches in root directory. If i copy its associated file at root / the application works perfectly. Is there anyway i can add that mounted local

CentOS 5.2 with IBM SERVERAID 6i
I need to install CentOS 5.2 on a IBM Server xSeries 226, which comes with a IBM SERVERAID 6i RAID card. I think it is not a true hardware RAID card. I has, nevertheless, an interesting feature: 128MB of cache with battery backup. I launched the CentOS boot DVD and CentOS correctly identified the card and the RAID 5 array as configured by the controller's BIOS. My question now i...

Auto-populating time portion of a datetime field from a form
...;'ve used the :prefix option to select_hour/minute/second to get the parameter name set correctly, but I end up with a hash with keys ''hour'', ''minute'' and ''second''. I can definitely handle this, but was wondering, can I just use 4i, 5i, 6i to index into the time portions of a datetime field? Thanks, Wes -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Mounting LVM disk
List Readers - I have a Dell server that uses the Perc 6i controller and had 5 1Tb disks installed (1 for OS and the other 4 in a Raid0 for a large storage pool). The owner of the server wanted me to swap out the 1Tb disks for 2Tb disks - easy enough I thought, but I ran into some issues trying to clone the OS disk to the new 2Tb disk, so I just did a re-...
