No problem with this:
yum install kernel-headers kernel-devel gcc
I extracted the file:
mkdir -p /usr/local/src/hybrid-wl
cd /usr/local/src/hybrid-wl
pwd
tar xvfz /root/Downloads/hybrid-v35_64-nodebug-pcoem-6_30_223_141.tar.gz
chown -R root.root /usr/local/src/hybrid-wl

Centos6.5 -- Broadcom BCM4313 -- having trouble connecting
Dear All,
I'm having trouble on 2 laptops Lenovo B580 since upgrading to Centos6.5.
( Because it's a Lenovo I cannot switch the network card for a better
supported network card. )
There on the latest kernel :

Upgrade to CentOS 6.5 -> issue with Broadcom Wifi

the page deals w/ CentOS5 without being specific.
I tried w/ both hybrid-portsrc_x86_64-v5_100_82_112.tar.gz (the one
which *I think* was formerly installed) and the latest available:
hybrid-v35_64-nodebug-pcoem-6_30_223_141.tar.gz; same compilation
errors (see below).
I simply could not remember how I had the Broadcom Wifi chip working
since CentOS 6.x, but I clearly remember that I had to install
the driver (I presume from the sources since I've found them in my

Dell vostro 1550, BCM 4313 wireless, not connecting to net
...some how the wired nic is not working. So I am trying to use the BCM 4313 wireless chip, of this system, to connect to the internet.
?I have Cent os 6.5 (64 bit) installed with the required libraries and kernel sources, headers etc.
I got the source code of the driver, hybrid-v35_64-nodebug-pcoem-6_30_223_141.tar.gz. Extracted the tar, and compiled.
Normal compilation errors:
