I think the question is 'should it be allowed?'

icmp latency question
Hi,
Our company''s main line is quite busy the whole day and my shaping is
working perfect, however even if I give icmp priority the pings still
jump around quite a bit.
We do have a backup line which hardly get used only if the main line
drops. I''ve set ip rule to route all icmp through that and now the
pings are perfect.
Will this make a difference for the game players etc,

git repo: primary/secondary/unofficial
I'm starting this thread to discuss what git repository should be
designated as primary and which repositories should be designated as
secondary.
For years, git.kernel.org has been the primary repo, updated at least
with every full and pre- release. git.zytor.com has been the
secondary and development repo.
Additionally, I've maintained my repos at github.com and git.zytor.com

4_ Since version 5.0, Syslinux needs a core module and c32 Library

5_ The c32 Library modules shall also match the same version of the

6_ After resolving any Syslinux-related matters, each Linux distro
might have its own kernel parameters related to expected file locations
(kernel, initrd, sqfs...). This is usually an issue in "multiboot"
scenarios.

How to access parent property
Hi,
I am having difficulties accessing parent properties/attributes from
the child. Anyone could shed some lights onto this?
Heres a sample code:
class Parent < ActiveRecord::Base
:has_many => :childs
@connector
def before_save
@connector = ''some connector object''
0..9.do |count|
self.childs << Child.new
self.childs[count].connector =

Syslinux 4.06-pre12
Hi,
I've just pushed out a last -pre release before 4.06 final. The purpose
of this prerelease was to make sure that all the build infrastructure is
configured correctly and to ensure that the win installer problem is now
gone (I've done the build on an F16 machine which should have a working
mingw toolchain).
Barring any major problems I'll do the final release this week.

Sysylinux-6.03 freezes at Loading kernel..., works smooth with 4.06 via SD-CARD
...rtition table, and FAT filessytem.
3_ Use (and post here) an adequate, complete syslinux.cfg (especially
if it works with 4.06).
4_ Use official prebuilt binaries downloaded from kernel.org.
5_ Test on another hardware combination (different mainboard / USB port
/ USB cable / USB boot device...).
6_ Please also test in an adequate VM and report the results.
Thank you,
Ady.
PS: Not only that rebuilding Syslinux binaries is not recommended for
troubleshooting; but additionally there have been some reports about
building issues with nasm 2.11.06, and/or gcc 4.9.x, and/or gnu-efi
and/or ovmf.

5_ Let's not forget that the primary goal is still maximum
compatibility with as many firmwares as possible (so users should
choose the values of 'h' and 's' accordingly and wisely).
6_ The resulting size of the isohybrid image should better be a
multiple of 1MiB.
7_ The starting absolute offset of the resulting partition should
better be a multiple of 4KiB.
If the amount of cylinders would be a multiple of 2048, we would
achieve #1 and #2 (and then #3), but not always #4. One...

...corrected in Syslinux 4.06.
Earlier altmbr code was always setting the first partition as active,
so users using versions prior to 4.06 (most current distros by the
time I'm writing this) should use the new code. Maybe this correction
should be mentioned in the changelog for Syslinux 4.06.
