not in the TCRULES file.

BitTorrent uploads enabled?
I''m seeing what may be sort of strange behavior - My machine is behind a
Shorewall firewall, which, in the rules section, includes:
AllowBitTorrent, any source, any dest
I''m wondering - how is my machine behind the firewall able to upload, since
no port forwarding related to bittorrent is taking place? (Just to clarify -
it IS uploading)
I looked at the AllowBitTorrent

WindowsXP
Already try the pre realease 0.3.
The rtpeer.rb is working. But I don''t know why is take quite a while to
listen only port 6969. The after that start to scan port 6881,6882..etc.
After that manage to download the file normally.
As usual I run everything in one PC. Azureus, ABC, and rubytorrent.
The example on "doc\api.txt" still doesn''t work for me.
I am very hapy the rtpeer.rb is working

Wondershaper stops limiting outbound traffic
I have wondershaper to limit my upload at 400kilobits (my line is 600kbps).
I do a lot of torrent seeding and I dont want my pings killed when I''m
uploading so I set low prority source ports as follows (by the way, I have
bittornet to only use ports 6881-6910):
NOPRIOPORTSRC="6881 6882 6883 6884 6885 6886 6887 6888 6889 6890 6891 6892

Packet shaping config
...hly tested upload and download performance with bittorrent and
the following config was the best:
DOWNLINK=425
UPLINK=3450
DEV=ath0
The main problem is that browsing is sluggish, but ssh is a bit
sluggish too. Bittorrent performance is great though. My bittorrent
client is set to listen on port 6881 so I added the following to try
and balance it out, but it doesn''t seem to make a difference:
NOPRIOPORTSRC=6881
NOPRIOPORTDST=6881
How does my config look? Is there anything else I can do?

centos 5 as p2p client
...es, to participate in p2p file sharing, bittorrent, edonkey, maybe other
networks. Does anyone have a howto or step by step guide for this? I've
installed bittorrent and mldonkey clients, but neither is working, i'm
assuming gateway firewall issue, but i've enabled the correct ports, 6881
through 6999 redirecting to the centos box. I've not made any additions to
the centos5 firewall.
I've got some audio available on bittorrent network i'd like to get, and
a .torrent file for it and on edonkey there's an iso any help appreciated.
Thanks.
Dave.

Port forwarding on Shorewall box behind NAT ADSL router
...teway for the rest of my
network). Bittorrent clients running on my workstation behind the
shorewall box never get full access (i.e. remote connections never get
established).
The relevant section in my rules file looks like this-
DNAT net loc:192.168.0.3 tcp
6969,7070,6881:6899 #BT
DNAT net loc:192.168.0.3 udp
6969,7070,6881:6899 #BT
I did have some ''ACCEPT'' rules as well for the various ports but it
seems upon reading the shorewall documentation that using DNAT
automatically sets up an ACCEPT rule for the relevant ports,...

Problems with HTB. Help!
Hello list.
I''ve configured a very simple script to slow down packets coming from a
particular IP Address. I''ve used IPTABLES to mark traffic coming from this
IP Address, but it does not appear to be working as expected. Let me first
describe my system as maybe what I''m doing is beyond what NETFILTER can do.
I have one machine that runs all my servers as
