Help Documentation (PR#6716)
hi henrik (all): A better solution would be to have levels: set.help(level="beginner"), which then provides expanded explanations. However, I do not think this is necessary: For the most part, the online R docs are great. It is not more detailed explanations that beginners crave. My primary wishes arise as I stumble onto a need, and then wish for a few more examples of different

OPUS Packet Size
Hi Everbody, i am not so good with codecs and a lot of terms in RFC 6716 of OPUS are not so familiar for me. I work in VoIP domain (Internet telephony) and try to support OPUS codec throughout our network. Therefore, I am trying actully to calculate or estimate the biggest possible size of the RTP OPUS Packet in case of WB or FB. Unfortunately, The "Frame Length C...

[EXT] Re: Opus Tools -- low bitrates, new features in 1.5, "expect-loss"
> As the thing is to encode for human ears (AFAIK), I'd say that 4kHz is already "quite high", > and I wonder who can actually hear pure 20kHz sine. If you read the beginning of RFC 6716, you learn that Opus never encodes any frequencies that are higher than 20 kHz. So at some medium or high bitrates, anything above 20 kHz is filtered out, not because of the bitrate but just because the Opus format itself doesn't have "room" for describing such high-frequency cont...

SILK-implementation some questions
Dear all: I want to formulate couple of questions about SILK codec: 1. I've seen the documentation to the SILK codec that is part of the OPUS exactly the paper with title "The opus codec voice coding with opus, and the "RFC 6716 specification of opus" . Well, I detected that in both is defined a High-Pass filter as part of SILK; however in the paper you put the following description: PAPER: " A high-pass (HP) filter with a variable cut frequency between 60 and 100 Hz" while form the other hand in the RFC...

For instance, I added a flag to a message : Thunderbird > 621 uid store 35150 +FLAGS ($label4) Dovecot > * 6716 FETCH (UID 35150 FLAGS (\Seen \Recent $Label4)) Now, if I close TB, so that changes are written to the mbox file, and if I open that file on a the server with any text editor, the 'X-Keywords' line doesn't appear !? And as a matter of a fact, if I read my mail from any other machine...
