help on ${RTPAUDIOQOS}
Hi All, While reading about QoS, I came across ${RTPAUDIOQOS} and tried to use it in my dialplan. I had 2 sip extensions 555 and 666 and I called from 555 to 666, but unfortunately no value for ${RTPAUDIOQOS} appeared on Asterisk CLI. Would you please let me know what is wrong with my dialplan and/or what else should be done to get the value of ${RTPAUDIOQOS}? Following is my dialplan context where my call landed.... [incomin...

Fun with virtual asterisks ...
So I've been testing asterisk under LXC for a few days now and am very happy with the results. My test server is a 1.8GHz Celeron with 256KB cache and 512MB RAM and I have 20 containers each running asterisk (and apache/php,sendmail and a few other minor things) More for fun than anything else, I've tried daisy-chaining instances together - so 20 asterisks running on the same host, 0

SER and Asterisk question
...each other (peer to peer) using SER as a sip proxy, and incase the call is not answered we will use the voicemail of asterisk and other feautures, I have done that already, but in order to do so I found that I have to make the users dial different exten numbers, here is an example: user with exten 666 wants to call 999 . 666 dials 1999 and which has a uri rule that says forward 4 digit starting with 1 to the asterisk sip port the asterisk extensions.conf has an entry for 1999 and dials 999@ser-server, if not answered voicemail runs and so on. ain't there a way to make 666 directly call...
