problem with port 5090 registration
Hi Guys, I have tried every single rule I could into iptables but I can't register this VPS to a provider Spikko. Finally I did an iptable accept on INPUT, OUTPUT, and FORWARD, for ports 0:65000 just to test things and still I can't register to the provider. I can easily register to another provider which uses port 5060 and I can make calls. But sip show registry only show Request Sent for registry and there are 6 tries of Invite and then call fails. Following is the iptables info:...

Call was hangup when LIMIT_WARNING_FILE was playing
Dear All, I tried to use 'L' option on my dial command. I set the x to 65000(65 seconds), y to 60000(60 seconds), z to 30000(30 seconds). The max calltime should be 65 seconds, and it will play "beep.gsm" at 60 seconds left. And repeat the beep at 30 seconds left. But the call will be hangup by system at 60 seconds left. In another word, when it plays warning fi...

overflow in RExcel (PR#7368)
Full_Name: Isto Aho Version: 2.0.0 OS: Windows XP Submission from: (NULL) (80.186.9.143) Hi, The bug can be reproduced as follows. Install R 2.0.0 and RExcel. Take an excel sheet having 65000 rows and 11 columns, integer values. Give the 'context' command 'put R val' for the large enough selection of rows. (I didn't check, how many are needed, but it seems that 10000 rows will suffice.) When trying to 'Get R val', there will be an error. (If there are too...

Large Packets and page size...
I'm just wondering about some guidelines on page size... For example if you have a stream where all packets are consistently of size > 40,000 bytes (but less than 65000), is it appropriate to just put them 1 per page ie have large pages. Packets in this range incur the page overhead about 10 times each... and most of the pages have no useful information. What are the pro's and cons of 10x 4k pages per packet (~1.5% overhead) vs 1x 40k page per packet (~0....

Reading SAS data into R
...rly large SAS dataset into R (about 150mB). An obvious and simple thing she tried was to write the dataset as a .csv-file and then read that into R, but that takes forever (or something close to that..). The dataset is so large, that exporting it as an Excel file from SAS is not feasible (more than 65000 lines). I am reluctant to ask her to go through all the data base steps (then she'll just stick to SAS...). Can anyone help me out on that one? Thanks in advance Søren Højsgaard [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Ignoring /run/user/X
...rocommunity ourcommnuityname monitor.ing.app.ip This has worked just fine for almost 10 years. Since the release of CentOS 7 we are getting alerts for partitions not being found during walks and these are the temporary partitions that are ephemeral while a user is logged in: /run/user/0 /run/user/65000 Seems if the partition is there when the monitor is set or is added while the monitor is active the monitor will keep looking for it and these are meant to go away. We thought "OK we can just ignore those" so we added a line to /etc/snmpd.conf : ignoredisk /run/user/* but that has not...

netlogon sometimes works (corrected with smb.conf attached)
I tried hardcoding it into the network card's settings, ensured the settings were there (ipconfig/all) and it did work on the first occasion. Subsequent logins, fail to make it run the netlogon script I've tried turning debug up but the output doesn't make much sense, had it mentioned "attempting netlogon share, failed due to..." then I'd at least be in a position to
