On sharded tiered volume, only first shard of new file goes on hot tier.
...ring helps mitigate.
This problem occurs in GlusterFS 3.7.18 and 3.12.3, at least.
I/O size doesn't make any difference, I tried multiple sizes.
I didn't find any volume configuration options that helped
in getting all of the new shards to go directly to the hot tier.

backups and md5 all in one while splitting
...ip2 |tee dump.bz2 | md5sum >dump.md5
The problem is I need to split the backups, so this doesn't really
work. Is there perhaps another way of piping things to allow for
splitting of the backups? Currently I'm doing something like this
svnadmin dump --deltas /repo |bzip2 |split - -b 64m
cat *.bz2* | md5sum >dump.md5
Is there a way to do this all in one step?

Two problems
Hello, I have two problems:
1) Identify my card
2) Error message at dumping
1) It seems to me that I have a special version of the GeForce4 420 Go
32M because my card is a GeForce4 440 Go 64M but both have the same PCI
device id. Is this important for the development of the renouveau driver
or is this already noted?

[nbdkit] [filter/nozero] large binary size with GCC 9
Hi all,
It seems GCC 9 does not put read-only zero-initialized variables into the BSS
section anymore; instead it is put into RODATA.
(See the thread at [0], especially [1])
In filter/nozero a 64M large, static, zeroed, read-only array is declared.
The new behavior of GCC puts this array as-is into the binary inflating the
size by a factor of around 10000.
(Clang 8 and older GCCs work "correctly")
It would be possible to remove the "const" qualifier or use some compiler...

problem in make for R-devel and R-release
Hello,
I just got R-devel june3. My machine is SuSE linux 6.1 pent2 with 64M Ram.
Configure goes well, but make stops and complains install-sh is not found in
tools. There is no "tools" directory! After looking around I found that "aux"
has those files and did sym link. Make worked.
The same problem is also present the R-release bundle.
Cheers,
