update re. Grandstream + SIP + Echo problems ..
...there are two phones which are at a remote office bridged to
my LAN via a 128k point to point ADSL .. these do not seem
to be working well, you do hear speech but the remote person
(dialled over PSTN through an X100P) hears it low and garbled ..
I am assuming it's due to the delays in stuffing 64kbits (of g711)
over a 128k link and was thinking of switching to G729.
I already have the G729 codec installed, and configured with 1
license. Can anyone give me the correct sip.conf commands
(or whatever I need) to get the budgettones working over G729?
many thanks

limiting upload speeds does not work
...ol ip handle 2 fw flowid 2:11
but it did not work. However, the problem seems to be in the way how I mark packets since when I type this:
iptables -t mangle -A FORWARD -i br0 -j MARK --set-mark 2
or this:
iptables -t mangle -A FORWARD -s 192.168.1.100 -j MARK --set-mark 2
upload immidiately goes to 64kbits or something, but so does everything else too - which is not exactly what I am trying to accomplish;-).
Since I am running out of ideas, have you got any? Or even an completely different approach to the problem?
Thanks in advance,
Tomas

herz the script that i have done.
Hello there,
Having made quite a lot of expensive mistakes i have finally clobbered
together a script for the users on my network.
Have a look at it and please suggest as to how can i limit bandwidth to
each ip on this network to about 64Kbits.
Trevor

how can i set different mount points with IceS
...</stream>

Looks like you have 2 outgoing streams. The first (end of instance
definition) will reencode using a the incoming vorbis stream into a
stream with a nomimal bitrate of 64kbits@44khz and 2 channels. The
second is a pass through stream which only works with playlists. This
sends the ogg stream directly to the icecast server on that IP using
that mount point.

Subject: IAXy and ADPCM codec problem.
...the IAXy boxes and i'm having some trouble when I use it with
the ADPCM codec.
When I use the ADPCM codec only one person (out of the two of the
conversation) is able to hear the other, but when I switch to ULAW codec
everybody can hear the other.
The ULAW codec is too heavy for my bandwidth (64Kbits/s) and its sounds
choppy, the ADPCM codec sounds good but only in one way, can anyboddy
help me with this isue??? I don't thing the ADPCM codec works like this
normally.
Thanks for all

HTB, rate and ceil question
Hello
I have a 64kbits link to location and I need to limit the traffic of
a machine (10.200.0.86) to this location to ensure that this machine
will no use all th bandwidth, and I did a rule to this situation where
the machine has it bandwith limited to 10kbits if there is other traffic
to this location, otherwise it ca...

fwmark and u32
Hello..
How can I specify a class for htb based on a fwmark and user ip ?
For instance:
I have some routes marked with fwmark and their are very-high speed connections... But only to some IP''s..
For the rest , I must limit the user to 64Kbits
Now , how can I limit the high speed connections ?
I must create a rule and take in account both fwmark and IP ?
To be more specific , I want to limit the user 10.0.0.1 to 1Mbit for the routes marked with fwmark 1 (thoose are taken from zebra)
The rules I have now are:
tc filter add dev eth0...

How should I implement limiting the speed of some users (by IP addresses)?
I had an idea, but it looks too compicated. What do you think?
Let''s say I want IP2 To be limited to have the speed max. 64kbits.
Will this idea work?

wow! and what about h/w players for vorbis files?
wow! i must say vorbis deprecates mp3! lol.
although, i had to use the "OSS/3d for XMMS" plugin on my sblive value
w/ 4 point sound to get a proper base. On my other box with a diff card,
bass is just fine.
however, are there any h/w players for vorbis files? the faq only states
one manufacturer called iObjects but i see no portable players!
Basically, i want to player vorbis files
