GTalk Channel
Hello all, It used to work on calling my GTalk ID from another GTalk user. But now that I tried calling it again, the caller hears only a ringtone and disconnected after a few rings. The messages on my Asterisk-1.4.21.2 are the following: [Jan 29 10:37:51] ERROR[1303]: rtp.c:1945 ast_rtp_new_with_bindaddr: Unexpected bind error: Cannot assign requested address [Jan 29 10:37:51] WARNING[1303]:

Form Validation
Hi, I''ve got an interesting one here :) I have a form with three fields : serial_number initial surname now, if serial_number is entered, it must be between 1 and 64000. If it''s filled in, the other two fields must be blank. If serial_number is left blank then the other two boxes must be filled. Any suggestions? -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Authentication problems
I am having a problem similar to the one that Jason Gerrity is having with authentication. Sometimes people are unable to access drives on one of our unix servers from an NT machine. They are prompted for their password and when they enter it they get the message "Incorrect password or unknown username." These are people that have permissions on unix and can usually access these

hi, it turns out that the iksemel library (which i installed using an rpm) was returning 0 when the function iks_has_tls() was called. it should return 1 otherwise res_jabber.o thinks gnuTLS is not installed. i confirmed this by running a test program i wrote, that calls iks_has_tls . it returned 0. i downloaded iksemel source, compiled it and now the test program returned 1. now,

Question on .Options$max.print
Hi, I have a tiny question concerning .Options$max.print I have to set up this value to a greater value than 10000 because I want to concatenate my output of a function to one single string (for connivence). I did this via .Options$max.print <- 64000 or options(max.print=64000) Then I call out <- paste(out, blabla) several times, but nchar(out) is never larger than 10000. I read in the help about '.Options' that this is not yet used in base R. Could this be my problem? Thanks for any hint Hans BTW I believe, there is a typo...

Simple Rule to Cap P2P Uploads
Hi, I''m new at traffic control and was reading up on HTB and using it to put an upper limit on traffic. I have a 256k DSL with 64k upload (which translates to about 5/6KB uploads). The machine running the P2P applications keeps filling up the 64K so my browsing from other machines in the network ends up being very slow. Since there are several P2P applications, I wanted to set the

.GSM -> .WAV (or ,MP3) Conversion
Hey there, I'm trying to convert some call recordings from asterisk we have in .gsm format to something I can pipe through ffmpeg - wav would be good, mp3 would be amazing! quality opus_demo vs opusenc

I used for both applications the same raw pcm file,16 bit,48khz,litle endian. i use libopus 1.1-beta and opus-tools-0.1.7. The command for opus_demo is: opus_demo audio 48000 1 64000 -cvbr -framesize 10 in.pcm out.pcm For opusenc/dec: opusenc --raw --raw-chan 1 bitrate 64 -cvbr --framesize 10 in.pcm in.opus opusdec in.opus out.pcm the PEAQ value for opus_demo is -0.152 and for opus-tools is -0.449 Should I expect the same quality or are opus_demo and opusenc/dec different...
