Bug#630175: ballooning with windows xp?
I'm not sure what is going on here but I happened to notice that you have maxmem > memory (specifically memory = 2048 & maxmem = 4096). This requires a balloon driver in the guest and for unmodified guests such as Windows requires the use of PoD to bridge the gap between boot and the driver getting loaded. You don't mention which drivers you are using, but the bug is likely to be

SMB shares size on a Linux system
Hi all, Is there a maximum share size that SMB will allow for a Windows host to access. We are using Samba 3.0.20b on a Linux 2.6.20 system. When we create a share of size 1.5TB on this system, we observe that after copying around 500GB of data into this share from a Windows XP system, the network mapped drive gets connected successfully. But then quickly gets disconnected when we try to copy
