Don't understand how to re-partition this setup or why it was made like this
Hello, I did df -h on my CentOS 6.4 machine. $ df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/mapper/vg_ysg-lv_root 47G 8.8G 36G 20% / tmpfs 948M 372K 947M 1% /dev/shm /dev/sda1 485M 62M 398M 14% /boot /dev/mapper/vg_ysg-lv_home 4.6G 2.7G 1.7G 63% /home What I don't understand is why is /home so tiny and how can I re-partition this without having to nuke and rebuild my machine?

Planning a dovecot deployment: issues and questions
...ding - then eventually Inbox just hung showing me no messages" Any thoughts about how to approach these issues? I don't really have a feel for how to go from user-observed-app-doing-X to imapd-is-doing-Y. The big challenge for our site may be mailbox size: the median mailbox size is 62M, the average is 176M and the largest is 1.1GB. I'd be curious to know what sort of mailbox sizes other sites have experienced, and how widespread the use of the Dovecot MDA is-- is this likely to make a big difference for us, and will we have to migrate our (approximately 25) procmail users to...

Changes to get CD to boot on EFI System.
Hi, Ady wrote: > http://www.syslinux.org/archives/2015-October/024526.html I still have it in my mailbox: ADY4UEFI.IMG in ADY4UEFI.ZIP. The test results are the same as with Didier's partition image. Wrapped in an ISO and presented as -cdrom it reboots in cycles. Presented as -hda it boots as naked disk image and as part of a GPT enhanced ISO 9660. > the wiki page needs

CPU usage over estimated?
I have a quad core CPU running Centos5. When I use top, I see that running processes use 245% instead of 100%. If I use gkrellm, I just see one core being used 100%. top: PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SWAP SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 18037 thba 31 15 304m 242m 62m 44m R 245.3 4.1 148:58.72 ic Also in the log of some programs I see this strange factor: CPU Seconds = 2632 Wall Clock Seconds = 1090 There are all single threaded programs, so it's not that more cores are being used. reading in data with variable length
I have very large csv files (up to 1GB each of ASCII text). I'd like to be able to read them directly in to R. The problem I am having is with the variable length of the data in each record. Here's a (simplified) example: $ cat foo.csv Name,Start Month,Data Foo,10,-0.5615,2.3065,0.1589,-0.3649,1.5955
