...ain, the
boot sequence stopped at "Ready."
Keep in mind that the contents of the file are the same as was in the
"default" file, which when PXE clients
requested and used, everything went very smoothly.

xvm no go
Hello all.
We''re a pretty traditional old school sun shop w/a few dozen sun boxes from 1999-2004.
We''re doing a try and buy on a sun blade 6000 with a couple of 6250 intel blades and a 6320 blade, looking to use multiple chassis to do a consolidation, using ldoms and xvm server with xvm ops center to manage it all.
At least that''s our forward looking plan.... to move all our unix and windows hosts onto this platform and have as close to a unified way...

Odd PXELinux Problem
...address, but I get the same result as if it was generated.
Does PXELinux expect that configuration files named by MAC have different
contents? I didn't think so, but if I'm wrong, please advise.
Thanks in advance!

Random effects and lme4

Where d is the level 2 random effect - patient within clinic -

Here a=-0.8,b=1,sigma1=0.3,sigma2=0.3
I'm simulating for 50 clinics each with 25 patients and 5 visits per patient

The results - mean - from 200 runs

mean(sigma2) = 0.26
However the sd of the estimated intercepts extracted using ranef at each

Asterisk died - exactly every 60 minutes
I have now a very strange situation.
Asterisk dies exactly every hour at hour:09 !!!
crontab has the entry:
10 3 * * * root /usr/sbin/asterisk-restart >/dev/null 2>&1
It seems that there is a time difference between mail server and
asterisk server so that it might be "synchronized" to the crontab entry.

usb 1-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
And that's it. No device assignment information, the usb-storage

I do see the following in lsusb:
Bus 001 Device 011: ID 0451:6250 Texas Instruments, Inc.
I'm assuming the kernel or udev doesn't know what to do with the given
device ID and isn't correctly mapping it to the usb-storage module (I
have manually loaded usb-storage with modprobe usb-storage prior to
attaching the device).
I found a post describing how...

best way to upgrade php4 -> php5 on CentOS?
What is the best way to upgrade PHP4 to PHP5 on CentOS? I see from "rpm -qa"
that I'm running PHP-4.3.9.
Should I uninstall this old PHP4 package and then reinstall PHP5? Or is
there some cool yum upgrade thing I might run?
This is a VMware virtual box for testing, so I'm more concerned about
learning what to do, rather than interrupting anything.
