BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 61s!
Ian,
I came across the subject line on a 96GB server with over 85 VMs running.
Completely frozen and unresponsive, qemu-dm processes hung on event
channels. I''m using the XenServer 6.0 dom0 kernel on top of the
xen-unstable tip hypervisor.
I believe you solved the issue backporting some event channel patches to
the 2.6.32 kernel, as described in this thread

Re: kernel BUG at arch/x86/xen/mmu.c:1860!
...-2.6.32-5-xen-amd64_2.6.32-31_amd64.deb
but this isnt a workaround really, we tested it on an 40 vmachines dom0
and it just dont work, of course the lvm works but the machine is slow as
hell and runs into several kernel errors within a few hours
[46566.052925] BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 61s! [qemu-dm:6292]
in this case xentop shows an 500% CPU usage by the dom0, we experience an
85%st value.
So, i think this should be fixed soon, so what is the status of the issue?
Best whishes
Joerg

OpenSuSE 11.2 bug, dom0-cpus limit causes xenwatch_cb running 100% and xm command freeze and xend dead
...,
I have upgraded a test machine from OpenSuSE 11.1 to 11.2.
I have found following bug:
the server is a 2x quadcore intel box also 2x4=8cpu
If you limit the dom0 cpu with dom0-cpus= [1-7]:
- [xenwatch_cb] is running 100% cpu and makes var log entry every 65 sec
BUG: soft lockup - CPU#X stuck for 61s!
- xm commands not work
- xend is dead
if set dom0-cpus to 0 or 8:
- everything looks fine
Can somebody else confirm that bug?
Best regards
Udo Attila Fischer

Debian/squeeze: domU live migraton hangs
Hi,
In view of the problems I was having with DomU network timeout after a
live migration (I posted that problems here a while ago but never got
anything except from private emails) I finally updated my
Debian/Squeeze Dom0s last night to a new kernel, from 2.6.32-23 to
2.6.32-26.
Now live migration just hangs...Any ideas?

[LLVMdev] Simple LLVM development quality-of-life improvement
...g about it. As it turns out,
the problem was already fixed.
If you're working on LLVM, and using the GNU linker, I _highly_ _highly_
_highly_ recommend grabbing the CVS version of binutils
(http://sources.redhat.com/binutils/) and using it.
For me, it reduced the TTLO (time to link opt) from 61s to 9s (on a
3.2ghz P4 Xeon).

Problem installing B410P BRI card for asterisk
Dear all,
I know this is more a Digium hardware than an Asterisk issue. Already
posted a question at Digium, however also like to see whether anyone in the
Asterisk community has encountered the following situation:
I installed a Digium B410P BRI PCI card on my new asterisk server,
following the steps specified in the manual. I can see the PCI card is
available using the lspci command:
