A question about the hypergeometric distribution and phyper()
Dear All I have a question about the hypergeomteric distribution. Example 1: I have a universe of 6187 objects, and 164 have a particular attribute, therefore 6187-164 do not have that attribute. I sample 249 of those objects, and find that 19 have that attribute. I get a p-value here (looking at just over-representation): phyper(19, 164, 6187-164, 249, lower.tail=FALSE) [1] 7.816235e-06 Example...

Listbox Question - Danish accounting program SummaSummarum
Dear Wine board. This is my first Post. This wine bug has been bothering me for two years now so now i think it is time to try and have it fixed. The first step is to figure out how to phrase my bug with the correct terms. As I don't know the names of the widgets since I haven't developed windows-application for some 10 years, I hope that someone will look at my screencast which i recorded

ActiveRecord with only a primary key
Hi, ActiveRecord does not currently support tables that have only a primary key. This seems to be a needed feature as evidenced by the tickets: http://dev.rubyonrails.org/ticket/6187 http://dev.rubyonrails.org/ticket/6319 http://dev.rubyonrails.org/ticket/7877 The update case is easily fixed by just not running the query when there are no columns to update. But the create case is problematic because different databases need different queries for inserting a row while not provi...

X.509 certificates and OpenSSH
I understand that recent versions of OpenSSH have support for X.509 certificates, in the sense that OpenSSH clients can extract the relevant information from such certificates and use it in order to carry out the usual public key-based authentication. Having a quick look into the SSH RFCs, it would seem that this is the only way in which OpenSSH supports X.509-based authentication. That is, it

I've put together the first attempt to defining an RDF metadata vocabulary for use with the CD Index/MusicBrainz/OggVorbis. If you care about metadata issues, please take a look at: http://www.cdindex.org/MM I've included a section for video specific stuff, but everything that I originally had in there is being covered by the MM:Contributors section. The Contributors stuff will allow

[Bug 553] configure fails to acknowledge availability of utimes()
...indicates that utimes() is not found. This leads to a type conflict error which prevents Making the package. The problem did not exist under 3.6p1 and all previous versions that I've built. It appears to be a result of a new automake version, but that is only wild speculation. Changing line 6187 in the configure file from 'char utimes ();' to 'int utimes ();' appears to provide a workaround so that OpenSSH can be configured and built. I'm working under HP-UX 10.20 using Gcc 3.0 and mostly Gnu tools. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the as...

Full_Name: Johannes Prix Version: 2.1.1 OS: WinXP, SuSE Linux Submission from: (NULL) (137.208.41.195) The seq-command produces unnescessary inaccurate results, which can be extremely annoying.
