gnutls bug
I am running centos6.4. Where do I find the updated gnutls packages? I
see the updated source file here:
http://vault.centos.org/6.5/updates/Source/SPackages/
But I don't see the correct version of the packages in the 6.4 tree here:
http://vault.centos.org/6.4/updates/x86_64/Packages/
Where should I be looking for the updated package for 6.4?
Thanks.

freebsd-update to 6.4-RELEASE doesn't work
Dear list,
I cannot upgrade my 6.3-RELEASE-p7/i386 to 6.4-RELEASE with
freebsd-update. I have run:
# freebsd-update upgrade -r 6.4-RELEASE
and then
# freebsd-update install
No updates are available to install.
Run '/usr/sbin/freebsd-update fetch' first.
any ideas?
(btw: I've successful updated 6.3REL/amd64 to 6.4-REL)
Best regards,
Thomas.

still no centos 6.4 live cd dvd available?
Hello,
?
in the release announcement for centos 6.4 on march 9th, the 6.4-live cd/dvd was supposed to be released a few days after the centos 6.4 release.
Meanwhile 6 weeks later i still can't find any live cd/dvd in the mirror repositories.
Any hint when there is a 6.4. live cd available?
I'd like to test centos 6.4 on several machines (x86_64) without foregoing installation.
Thank you in

LVM2 Thin Provisioning: 6.3 vs 6.4 (lvm2, device-mapper-persistent-data, et al)
I've been running into some problems with LVM thin provisioning in
CentOS 6.3. Some of these I have reported to RH Bugzilla (e.g.
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=883629). The upshot seems
to be that in RHEL 6.3 the features are "preview" but in 6.4 they are
"full featured/robust" (hopefully) and many of the bugs are fixed.
This raises the following

Problems with SuSE 6.4
Hello!
A friend of mine tried to install R 1.0.0 on a Linux SuSE 6.4 with new
compilers and new X. First the X-libs could not be found. Using the apropriate
flags to change the paths for X-libs for configure (deleting first
configure.cache) did not solve the problem. So he copied the libs
to the expected /usr/X11/lib/ resp. include (because linking was not possible)
it compiled fine up to the

CentOS 6.4 x86_64 VM Install freezes
I am trying to install a CentOS 6.4 x86_64 VM using a CentOS 5.9 x86_64
host, but its install has froze *twice*. What I am doing is to create a
10gig LVM volume, which I put a MS-DOS partition table on (using fdisk).
I then format the only partition to ext3, install grub and install the
pxeboot kernel and initrd.img and a simple grub.conf to load this.
I have the CentOS 6.4 x86_64 ISOs mounted

CentOS 6 : Network Interface Naming
Hello All,
I have one CentOS 6 KVM virtualization server that I built around a year
ago (best I can tell it was in October 2012) at which time I would have
been installing 6.3 [0]. That particular install used the Consistent
Network Device Naming [1] conventions (PCIe NICs are p1p1, p1p2).
I started to build out a new KVM virt server (kickstarting a 6.4 install
now as compared to 6.3 back then)

How to rebuild the Centos 6.4 iso images with the same contents as officially released iso images ?
I have read many Centos webpages and mail archives but found only raw descriptions of the build process.
My first aim is to rebuild CentOS-6.4-x86_64-LiveCD.iso using the Centos repositories
and preferably without recompiling the SRPMs, just to verify the build process.
My final aim is to create a Centos LiveOS contain the packages in CentOS-6.4-x86_64-minimal.iso
plus some network configuration

Dual Boot Windows 8 & CentOS 6.4
Hi,
I am studying for the RHCSA Exam and wanted to install CentOS 6.4 alongside Windows 8. I got a new laptop with a processor that supports virtualization.
I am planning to remove all the recovery partitions after backing up all drivers etc. on them. Lets see how it works out.
Any caveats I should know about?

ANNOUNCE: RHEL 6.4 preview packages available
As some may remember, in the run-up to RHEL 6.3 I made a yum
repository available of libguestfs and other packages. It's time for
the same thing for RHEL 6.4.
These packages should work on RHEL 6.3, CentOS 6.3 and other RHEL 6
derivatives (although I've only tried them on RHEL 6.3). A source RPM
is also supplied in case you want to try rebuilding the package.
To use the repo, run the
