[LLVMdev] Stack smashing
Someone is trying to work on HLVM with me but they're hitting a problem that we have not been able to resolve. Specifically, GCC seems to be performing some kind of sanity check for "stack smashing" and is calling abort because it is unhappy with something that the code is doing. However, I am not sure what and cannot reproduce the problem. The stack trace they have given me is:

Slow performance with large folders over the Internet
Dovecot package version is 1:1.2.15-7+deb6u1. It is in Debian 6.0.10, using the Debian package. The server is in my basement at home, and is exposed to the Internet so I can fully access my mail from anywhere. I use IMAP for reading mail. I have a number of folders in my mailbox that have thousands of messages in them, from mailing lists. When I'm at home, I have a LAN connection to the

firefox 18
Has anyone managed to get FF 18.0 to work on Centos 5.8? I've been hacking at it, placing a stack of .so files (from Centos 6) into a private directory, then using LD_LIBRARY_PATH to point the system to (in a shellscript that subsequently invokes ff 18) but so far I've not managed to find the right combination. I've moved over libstdc++, all or nearly all the .so files from glib2 and

Firefox 5 on Centos 5.6
So has anyone actually got FF 5 working OK on CentOS 5.6 i686 32 bit yet? If so, is it actually worth taking the trouble to upgrade to FF 5, and what is the recommended way to do this upgrade please? Migration from mbox/maildir++ to mdbox

I want to migrate our mail handling to a new setup using mdboxes for everything. The current config looks like this: # 2.1.7: /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf doveconf: Warning: service anvil { client_limit=1000 } is lower than required under max. load (1127) # OS: Linux

High I/O wait with Dovecot POP3
Hello, In the past we've had 4 loadbalanced servers configured with courier pop3 and dovecot handling respectively POP3 and IMAP connections. These 4 servers have a shared NFS storage on a Netapp FAS3220 controller with SAS disks. This setup is handling 50 POP3 sessions per second without any problems. Now we're installing 6 new loadbalanced servers to do the same job on the same
