ViaTalk Down?
Is anyone else with ViaTalk experiencing an outage right now? My DID has been down since 5AM (8/20). Asterisk is unable to re-register or connect for outbound calls. I have also tried calling support and their number gives a fast busy.

mystery: lock up after fs dump
...systems have gjournal support (on 6.X it is added via a "non-official" patch), there are gjournaled filesystems on both systems and they are dumped. On June 1 (Sunday) exactly the same thing happened on both systems. At 4AM monthly level 2 dump was started and successfully performed. At 5AM weekly level 4 dump was started. Somewhere in the process of it system locked up. When I physically accessed the systems I found the following: keyboard didn't respond[*], screen froze, no pings. After reset I found that logs stopped being updated at some timer shortly after 5AM. [*] - although...

gotoiftime and blocking calls
I am trying to use the Gotoiftime CMD to not allow calls to be placed between the hours of 12am-5am, except if you know the PIN number to dial out and if the call is for 911. What is the best way to implement this solutions? I have the gotoiftime like so: exten => s,1,GotoIfTime(5:00-11:59|mon-fri|*|*?custom-blacklist,s,1) and using Read for the PIN like so: exten => s,3,Read(Secret,,3...

Rsync, CP and Cron job workaround?
...ould need to be something like: *delete stuff created over 8 days ago *copy all files in backup dir recursively that dont already exist (should only be full backups) *run a rsync for cleanup 2. use rsync exclusively, but schedule it to only run it outside of business hours, ie let it run from 7pm -5am and kill it at 5am. Over the course of the week it should catch up? Any thoughts on these two methods? I realise that option 1 gives you no assurance that the copy completed successfully. puppetdb query not working as expected
...ound say 3am (searching nodes based on some custom fact''s value), then it would not be able to return node information. But if I ran puppet on that node at that time, then I could see the node showing up in the query output right away. And if I ran puppetdb query based on custom fact after 5am, then it is working as expected. Is there some configuration settings control this behavior? This does not occur for facter''s built-in facts though. Thanks, Hai -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group. To unsubscribe f...

icecast "dump" suggestions (archiving)?
Hello. Anyone have any suggestions for automating archiving? I have a stream that will connect to the server every morning at 5am and be kill'ed at 10am. I'd like to record this every day... is there any suggested solution? I'd have to setup a script to telnet in and start a dump command, and I don't know if that would easily be possible without parsing out the stream ID (Which is random on every connect). I...

Profile migration again
...I would want to use for editing profiles. In source/profile/ I see profile.c and after the build I get only an object file (profile.o) - so tried to grep all documents and sourcefiles for something that gives me more info - but no luck. I must have missed it I guess, doesn't help that it's 5am either :-( Anyway, migrating 20 w2k workstations from an old NT 4.0 server to samba 2.2.7a has cost me like 24 hours altogether now. I dont even need the PDC functionality, I just dont want to reinstall all those applications and settings on all those client machines ;-) I wonder if I really have...

M3F: Multimedia Metadata Format
...it is a start. Please do send any definition suggestions or thoughts to the email list so that we all may better understand what will be required by the format. Regarding the poor naming for my proposal: I just though up a name for the XML format; and MDMF was the best I could come up with at 5am. I think no one will oppose changing the name to my new suggestion (right below). Though someone might be better at naming stuff. M3F, or the Multimedia Metadata Format. Thoughts? Upgrading from 3.6.3 to 3.10/3.11
...-users/2017-June/031377.html - With 3.6.6 I had a nightly rsync process that would copy all the data from the gluster server pair to another server (nightly backup). This operation used to finish between 1-2AM every day. After upgrade, this operation is much slower with rsync finishing up between 3-5AM. - I have not looked a lot into it, but after 40-ish days after the upgrade, the gluster mount in one server became stuck and I had to reboot the servers. As for recommendations, definitively do *not* go with 3.11 as that is *not* a long term release. Stay with 3.10. https://www.gluster.org/commun...

ANNOUNCE: [MAINT] Unplanned network outage Saturday/Sunday
Hi, Many of you may have noticed that it was pretty quiet over the weekend. AT&T (my ISP) had a fiber cut around 1am Saturday Night (Sunday Morning) that took out my network. They kept pushing the expected resolution until 5am today, but the network was repaired at 7:09pm last night at which point everything should have come back. This outage affected code, which runs email, wiki, and git (among others). If you still see any issues please let me know. Sorry for any inconvenience.. -derek -- Derek Atkins...

R 2.5.0 slated for April 24
..."R 2.4.1 Patched" will be closed to further development at GFF (as all the release branches, it can be reopened if the need arises, we just don't anticipate such a need.) The source alpha/beta/RC tarballs will be made available daily (barring build troubles) by a cron job running at 5AM CET, and the tarballs can be picked up at http://cran.r-project.org/src/base-prerelease/ a little later. The various freeze points are marked by changes to the VERSION file this is also done automatically by a cron job which runs just after midnight on the relevant days. -- O__ ---- Pet...

Minor fixes for libvorbis-1.0beta3/anoncvs 2000-11-08
Hi there, I just built libvorbis from anoncvs and found that a) some files are missing from lib/books when making dist and b) the GNU GPL instead of the LGPL is included in the package (contrary to what the README says). If you reply, please includ me in the Cc: because I'm not on the list. The missing files are: res0_160_1024_1.vqh res0_160_1024_2.vqh res0_160_1024_3.vqh

Gnumeric - 1 Excel - ?
Hi all, As happens from time to time, discussions on this list appear regarding the use of popular spreadsheets for statistical analysis. One such thread (post of mine) is here: http://maths.newcastle.edu.au/~rking/R/help/03a/6326.html While not advocating such use, these discussions have referenced articles that provide independent reviews of these applications and issues of accuracy, etc.

Oops in journal_dirty_sync_data [ext3]
Hi all, This just got me out of bed at 5am. Although there are a lot of Oops reports on the list I didn't find any for my kernel version or with a similar stack trace. I'm wondering if this is a known issue? Kernel: 2.4.20-8 (Redhat 9.0 default kernel). There's 2GB of RAM, I'm using barely 1/4 of it. I'm fairly confiden...

Upgrading from 3.6.3 to 3.10/3.11
Hi all We have a 20-node, 1pb Gluster deployment that is running 3.6.3 - the same version we installed on day 1. There are obviously numerous performance and feature improvements that we'd like to take advantage of. However, this is a production system and we don't have a replica of it that we can test the upgrade on. We're running CentOS 6.6 with official Gluster binaries. We rely
