Afternoon, Are there any documented best practices for using NFS home directories on laptops? Right now, and this is on CentOS 7, when I disconnect the machine from the network, the desktop freezes, and I can't even tell if the machine switches to the wireless network. I need to upgrade PHP because the latest WordPress requires one at least at 5.2.4. What are the tradeoffs of using the php53 packages provided by CentOS versus IUS? I've seen that installing the RHEL-derived php53 requires removing php first and it creates package conflicts because it doesn't provide a virtual php-common package.
