multiple lines on multiple plots
...he top plot, it is clearly using the axis dimensions of the lower plot. Can someone tell me how to get it to use the axes that are already there? Variants like lines(x,xlim=c(1,10)) have no effect. Thanks in advance for any help. glsuterfs cpu parallelism option?
Hi, we're setting up a glusterfs server apir with replication and am testing performance. While doing that we stumbled over that in top: PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 5151 root 20 0 6184m 5.9g 2540 R 200 9.3 28:27.99 glusterfs 5618 root 20 0 392m 34m 2116 S 38 0.1 24:53.10 glusterfsd When under heavy load, CPU usage will not exceed 200% hence I'm assuming it only spawns two threads. Can that be tweaked? My hope is that when that is increased and glusterfs can use more cpus, the overall performance will in...

heatmap.2 no reordering of the columns and rows
Hi,   I need to generate a heatmap on a square matrix and wouldn't want to reorder the columns and the rows on the heatmap display.    I have used the options Rowv=NULL and Colv=NULL but doesn't seem to work. Following is a snippet of the heatmap function i am using. args <- commandArgs(); inputfile <- args[2] imgfile   <- args[3] bitmap(imgfile, height=15, width=15, res=100,

OpenSSH3.0p1/PAM/Sol8
Hi there, I just tried out OpenSSH3.0p1 running on Solaris 8 with PAM (--with-PAM). The problem was mentioned some time ago and is still there :-( When a password is expired you are prompted to change it now, enter your login password and after doing so you are instantly disconnected. I think this is a problem with PAM and not SSH, but how can I get a solution on this ? sshd is running without

heatmap.2: question regarding the "raw z-score"
Hi, I am analysing gene expression data using the heatmap.2 function in R and I was wondering what is the formula of the "raw z-score" bar which shows the colors for each pixel. According to that post: https://mailman.stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-help/2006-September/113598.html, it is the (actual value - mean of the group) / standard deviation. But, mean of which group? Mean of the gene
