OT: pager pay
Hey folks,
I'm trying to compare my small company's policy against other
companies out there. We pay 10% of your per-hour salary equivalent
per every hour you carry it, whether it goes off or not. So for
example someone making $55K/year works out to about $27 / hour (I
think), so they'd get $2.70 for every hour they carry the pager
outside of regular work hours. We are a company of about 25 people.
My old employer Nortel still does it this way :
- $27.50 for every 8 hour shift you carry it, outside of regular work hour...

Dovecot Solr Panic
...ders, by years, months and subfolders, since 5 years. I am convincing this user to give up this
organisation, but in the mean time, I hope to solve this problem.
The virtual folder, called Archives, references all the sub folders in the Archive folder. There is about 380 folders, and worst of all, 55k characters with
their names concatenated.
On solr, I have increased the value of headerBufferSize to a huge value, but I have still this error.
Anyway, this is the error I have when I try to index this virtual folder:

Network latency seems low < 30ms on average.
So I was tracking vmstat.
On the mutt instances is seems reasonable:

[LLVMdev] Lines of code
You can see exactly what it contains by reviewing the "utils/llvmdo"
script. The script is invoked by "utils/countloc.sh" with the -code-only
option to eliminate a few things that shouldn't be considered code. The
details are too long to list here but its simple enough to understand in
the llvmdo script.
To answer your specific questions, it includes makefiles and the

SIMD instructions
Vorbis does not appear to use any SIMD instructions.
A short look around in the source code indicates that it would be
possible and might even yield big performance improvements. Why has
nobody done it yet?
I am currently trying to learn using these instructions and would be
willing to rewrite a few functions in SIMD instructions, if I understand
how to vectorize them and if they make a

bad 1.6.3 striped write performance
Hi,
I''m seeing what can only be described as dismal striped write
performance from lustre 1.6.3 clients :-/
1.6.2 and 1.6.1 clients are fine. 1.6.4rc3 clients (from cvs a couple
of days ago) are also terrible.
the below shows that the OS (centos4.5/5) or fabric (gigE/IB) or lustre
version on the servers doesn''t matter - the problem is with the 1.6.3
and 1.6.4rc3 client kernels

OK, I searched through the archives and didn't find anything so I must be
doing something stupid.
I just compiled 2.6.3 and am trying to get it to run on linux 2.6.8.1 kernel
with a more or less fedora core2 environment. I was trying between two
systems but I have narrowed it down to what I believe is a pretty simple
case. Here is my setup/test:
