Is this the correct behavior, or am I missing something?

Merge scopes with OR
I''d be quite interested in a feature merging scopes with OR - currently the
default way is AND.
The feature seems to have been requested/reported here:
https://github.com/rails/rails/issues/5545
A pull request was sent, but it needs some work.
I wrote a quick attempt too here: https://gist.github.com/3312792
It uses the syntax:
Jobship.includes(:job).or(Jobship.accepted, Jobship.declined).count
though it might be better like this:
Jobship.where(accepted.or(declined)).count

We had to fdisk the shared disks and remount them and restore db from

Results:
Netperf, 1 vm:
The polling patch improved throughput by ~33% (1516 MB/sec -> 2046 MB/sec).
Number of exits/sec decreased 6x.
The same improvement was shown when I tested with 3 vms running netperf
(4086 MB/sec -> 5545 MB/sec).
filebench, 1 vm:
ops/sec improved by 13% with the polling patch. Number of exits was reduced by

The same experiment with 3 vms running filebench showed similar numbers.

SIP 603 response when call is not answered
Hi
I have noticed that asterisk returns 'SIP 603' when the called party does
not answer.
My test setup is simple: two SIP phones (extensions: 100 and 111)
registered to an Asterisk 1.8.30.0 gateway.The Dial timeout is 30 seconds.
When 100 calls 111 and after 30 seconds, asterisk sends a CANCEL request to
111 (expected) and a '603 Decline' response to 100 (unexpected &

"could not connect to host - localhost"
Hi All:
I'm running Mandrake 8.1 (downloaded) and the install went fine.
Configuring Samba however is another story. I get the message "could not
connect to host - localhost" on the Linux box. I cannot see the network
from the Linux system. The Linux system is visable from Win'98SE as are the
shares but I cannot access them "password is incorrect".
This does not
