Dell HSPA 5530 - Built-in 3G - Not detected
Hi all,
I have been trying to get CentOS 5.5 running on my Laptop for a while now.
I am currently running Fedora 13 for the only reason that my Dell Wireless
HSPA 5530 built-in 3G Mobile Device is working.
I have tried loading the bcm43xx modules after reading several posts on
Google but not able to get this working at all.
I have run CentOS on my servers for a while now and love it. Just this
last bit that holds me back from going fullt to CentOS.
My laptop i...

How is it possible? Since i just configure 2 spans!
And the second problem is that when I try to place a call I receive this:
-- AGI Script Executing Application: (Dial) Options:
(UniCall/g1/096213788|15|gS(600))
-- Setting call duration limit to 600 seconds.
May 24 15:13:43 NOTICE[5530]: app_dial.c:1029 dial_exec_full: Unable to
create channel of type 'UniCall' (cause 0 - Unknown)
== Everyone is busy/congested at this time (1:0/0/1)
How can I solve this? Or at least debug what is the problem.
Thanks in advance.

Search within a file
Hi,
I am looking for a way to search a file for position of some expression,
from within R. My current code:
sha1Pos = gregexpr("<sha1>", readChar(filename,
file.info(filename)$size))[[1]]
Works fine for small files, but text files I will be working with might get
up to Gb range, so I was trying to accomplish the same without loading the
whole file into R.

So, please help me. I need answers to John Todds questions while he's

happen? Was it the Broadcom NICs? Was it the Intel 5530 Xeon CPU's? Or
a combination? Or maybe just the cheap Netgear switch...
I hope to get more access to these boxes, three of them, to run tests

boot_cpu_data differs between Xen hypervisor boot and normal pv_ops kernel boot
...ents, Intel PMU driver.
PMU:oprofile: found i386/core_i7.
When I looked into the source code, arch/x86/kernel/cpu/perf_event.c,
at run-time boot_cpu_data structure seems to differ in these two forms
of booting.
Due to this, Iam not able to use the hardware performance counters in
my Xeon 5530 processor as hardware events(cache-misses etc) are being
disabled.
Is there any reason for this ?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Naresh Rapolu.

Need a package
I have rpms for xemacs 21.5.27-8.fc8. I *think* they will work on Centos
5? If not I can get the sources. However, at this point, I have one of
those dependency hell problem. I need, for now, libtinfo. Does anyone
now what package it is in?
Thanks,
Bob
