centos: infinite loop at boot using mptspi scsi device
hello, i am very new to centos and experienced some trouble yesterday
when installing centos 5 onto our workgroup server. Our Server is
equipped with an external RAID-array using an LSI Logic / Symbios Logic
53c1030 PCI-X Fusion-MPT Dual Ultra320 SCSI (rev 07)
SCSI controller.
Unfortunately the Server won't boot with the array connected, but gives
the error message:

....DAT file happily.
Now I cannot change SID on any NTUSER.DAT file.
However, I can log into the domain using the username that is attached to the NTUSER.DAT file, no problem there, so there is not anything wrong with the registry file.
I get this:

Problem with /usr/bin/profiles "Could not get rootkey"

However, using an older version of the binary (3.0.33-3.29.el5_5.1) it does.
If I execute the following command (note the last 4 digits on the SID)
  /usr/bin/profiles -c S-1-5-21-HIDDEN-HIDDEN-581009308-5424 -n S-1-5-21-HIDDEN-HIDDEN-581009308-5452 NTUSER.DAT

Question regarding iptables marks for HTB
...PREROUTING -i eth2 -t mangle -p tcp -s 192.168.1.50/32 -j MARK
--set-mark 50
So my question is, is there a limit in the numbers that can be used as
marks? And also, can only numbers be used as marks?
How about:
iptables -A PREROUTING -i eth2 -t mangle -p tcp -s 192.168.1.50/32 -j MARK
--set-mark 5424
or
iptables -A PREROUTING -i eth2 -t mangle -p tcp -s 192.168.1.50/32 -j MARK
--set-mark ABC
Same question for HTB tc rules'' class id numbers and handle numbers.
Thanx,
Edo

Samba 3.0.14 (Debian Sarge) Memory Leakage
Hi!
Our Samba file server seems to have a memory leakage. We are using samba
as file server out of the box (debian sarge) on kernel 2.6.16.31.
After a while users who have some shares and files open are acquiring
more and more memory until the smbd dies.
Here is a small shortcut from top:
