[PATCH] Re: name_count maxed, losing inode data: dev=00:05, inode=5221
Ralf Hildebrandt reported[0] the following messages on ext3-users:
   name_count maxed, losing inode data: dev=00:05, inode=5221
because the filesystem in question is indeed ext3. However, this warning
is not generated by ext3 code but by the audit framework. While the
origins of these messages are discussed elsewhere[1] the following
patch modifies the printks in question so that users know where these
messages are com...

Auth socket can't listen using ssl
...e on testing).
It seems that it's not possible to open an auth socket using ssl. I'm
using this configuration :
service auth {
  [...]
  inet_listener authxmpp-client {
    address = [ips]
    port = 5220
  }
  inet_listener genericauth-client {
    ssl = yes
    address = [ips]
    port = 5221
  }
  [...]
}
Both ports are running fine. But the 5221, which should listen in ssl
(because of the "ssl = yes" as written in the documentation here :
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Services ) is using plaintext.
If I telnet directly to it, the content is delivered on an unsecured
socket.

Nut fsd command ignored: bcmxcp_usb driver, Powerware 5105 UPS

ups.model: POWERWARE UPS    500VA

One peculiarity -- even though the test.battery.start instant command

Any help would be appreciated.

GitHub Migration Starting Now
Hi,
We're getting ready to start migrating to GitHub. SVN will be moved to read-only now and we'll
begin the process of turning on GitHub commit access. I'll send an email when we're done.

Load-Balancing Virtualized Guests
Hi everyone:
According to "Automated failover and recovery of virtualized guests in
Advanced Platform", one can easily migrate virtualized guests around
different hosts. However, is it currently possible for CentOS 5 with
Virtualization&Clustering Suite to migrate guests dynamically
according to loads on different hosts?
Thanks,

ext3 compatibility between 2.4 and 2.6 kernels
Hello--
We have a system where a central server formats removable hard disks,
which are then booted in an embedded system running a highly modified
RH9. The removable disks themselves contain boot, root, and data
filesystems.
The problem we've encountered after upgrading to FC3 / kernel 2.6 on
the central server is that the 2.4 kernel in the embedded system
cannot read the root filesystem,

Questions on qcow, qcow2 versus LVM
I''ve been using lvm under centos to create the backing store for domUs and
although the performance seems acceptable it has some shortcomings. The
biggest of which is the LVM bug which prevents me from removing an lv (it
says it is still mounted and it definitely isnt). I thought this was just
a centos bug but it appears to be evident in debian and ubuntu too and I
really can''t
