poweredge 1850 won't boot 7.1? maybe LSI-related : amr0: adapter is busy

Interestingly enough, FreeBSD booted fine on the machine installed (updated from 7.0 to 7.1-RELEASE-p4). This machine is a PowerEdge 1850 bios A04 with Perc 43/Si bios H430 / fwVer 521S. Rescan /dev/sd* without reboot?
I increased the SAN partition size for a given volume. Is there a way I can have fdisk recognize the new size without a reboot? Thanks, Scott

Disable specific LUN on a SCSI bus
Hi all, do you know if there is a way at boot time do disable specific LUN's on a SCSI bus of a particular controller? I'm trying to write an udev rule, but it seems that the system ignores the "vendor" model/name of the controller...
