...ly confused about this situation. Am I missed some >> information about it? I guess this is caused by the lack of capability. Please check if enough capability was added to kvm process by the following steps. 1. Check the pid of kvm process. # ps -C qemu-system-x86_64 -o pid= 5177 2. Check the capability for the process. # getpcaps 5177 Capabilities for `5177': = cap_sys_rawio+i In my fedora19 environment, as seen in above, only cap_sys_rawio+i was added with rawio='yes'. Can up2date use a local yum mirror?
If so, how do you configure the up2date client that comes with CentOS to look at the local yum mirror? Conversely, how do you disable the CentOS Network Alert Notification Tool so that users won't see the "throbbing red circle" and be tempted to launch the up2date client? Thanks, Alfred

Oracle instantclient on CentOS 4.4 with DBD::Oracle
Does anyone have experience on installing the Oracle instantclient and DBD::Oracle on CentOS 4.4. I have been having several issues with getting the RPMs from Oracle's site working with DBD::Oracle. I can get the oracle instant client to install without issue. But I cannot compile/install DBD::Oracle using cpan or cpan2rpm. I found http://freshrpms.net/docs/oracle/ which has a nosrc rpm

GFS
Hello: I am planning to implement GFS for my university as a summer project. I have 10 servers each with SAN disks attached. I will be reading and writing many files for professor's research projects. Each file can be anywhere from 1k to 120GB (fluid dynamic research images). The 10 servers will be using NIC bonding (1GB/network). So, would GFS be ideal for this? I have been reading a lot

RPM for perl-svn-notify?
Hi List, Is it possible to get an rpm built and added into the plus or dag repos for the perl module svn-notify? (Note: not the same as svn- notify-mirror.) I know it's been brought up before that perl's internal CPAN build/ install can cause serious conflicts with the rpm-based approach; if there are other / better ways of doing this in a standard fashion, please let me know.

mp3 plugin for Rythmbox or Totem?
Can anybody please suggest a suitable plugin to enable playing of mp3 files with either Totem or Rythmbox. Both of these come as part of the CentOS 5 package, but strangely neither has the necessary plugin for mp3, which surely is a common enough format in the music world? Thanks, Andy

NX problems with centos 4.4
Hi, using centos 4.4, and freenx-0.5.0-10.c4 and nx-1.5.0-1.centos4 on a 8 CPU Amd Opteron system. If I access this system by nxclient-1.5.0 from some workstation (FC6) with Gnome desktop, then after a successful login the X11 windows have no windowmanager frame, so a handling of the X11 windows is very difficult. This effect does not appear when acessing the centos system by xdm. Is this a
