RTP Packetization
Hi all,
I need to be able to adjust packet sizes and found the patch at
http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=5162
Thus, I checked out and compiled
http://svn.digium.com/view/asterisk-old/team/group/5162_rtp_packetization
I added the line "packetization = 30" for one peer in my sip.conf and
started asterisk with the "-I" switch for async RTP.
That's all it takes according to the 5162...

Bug in QRESYNC SELECT/EXAMINE behavior
RFC 5162 [3.1] states that a QRESYNC should return all changes in a

Fedora Core 7 has just updated their Ruby package (was 1.8.6.36-3.fc7,

XL: pv guests dont reboot after migration (xen4.1.2-rc2-pre)
A pv guest will not reboot after migration, the guest itself does
everything right, including the shutdown, but xl does not recreate the
guest, it just shuts it down.
This goes for 2.6.39 and 3.0.4 guest kernels, havent tried different
ones. I also haven tried different xen versions.
Dont know if this would affect hvm, probably not since qemu leaves the
guest running and does a

Change g729 payload
Hi All,
I have a SIP provider that tells me that my RTP stream uses a
"20bytes payload in the g729 coded data". And they would like that we
change this to 30bytes (3 frames).
But maybe I'm wrong but isn't a certain payload just a standard for a
codec ?
And if I'm wrong, how can I change the payload for my g729 calls in
Asterisk.
Greetings,
Attilla

Kickstart install via network, nonexistant disk sda
Hello all,
I have 3 Supermicro 1u servers, each with dual 250gb SATA drives.
I have a server with CentOS 5 64bit setup for pxebooting and kickstart
installs.
I have a kickstart install file that doesn't specify the disks
specifically. It works like a champ, and the operating system installs and
completes.
I have a kickstart install file that specifies the disk devices (sda,

Group averages
Hello:
I hope none of you will mind helping a newbie. I'm a student research
assistant working with a large data set in which observations are
categorized according to two factors. I'm trying to calculate the group
mean and variance of a variable (called 'hsgpa' in the example data
presented below) to each observation , excluding that observation. For
example, if there are

RTP frame size location?
Google has given me too many responses, so I'll ask the list:
Where in the Asterisk rtp source code can I find the default
millisecond frame size? I've looked around for obvious pointers, but
it's not clear. I'd like to "force" my Asterisk server to use a
certain frame size all the time. (Of course, ideally I'd like to
prefer or even force that frame size in a
