Thunderbird 24.0 for Windows seems to ignore Samba4.0.9 permissions settings

On a Windows client, I have Thunderbird 24.0 storing its profile and
mail on the Samba share. The perms on everything in the share were
chmod -R 777'd.
Then I get mail, compact a folder, whatever, and it looks like this:

LDAP + Samba4(AD) + SSH
Hello,
I want my domain users to be able to connect to our linux servers using
their AD username through LDAP.
I am using nslcd and pam_ldap to do so, but I am having some hard time
trying to figure out why the GID is not working properly.

Ok, we got rid of SSSD and started to work with Winbind, actualy we used it
few years ago and did not worry too much. But there is a problem as in our
setup 'domain users' group is 513 (we did not pay attention to this when we
created users). And winbind have problem with it as usual id ranges are:

Ok, i did read somewhere that
Samba uses S-1-22-1 for users and S1-22-2 for groups.
wbinfo -G 100
S-1-5-21-3821322978-3959480180-962995944-513
wbinfo -G 10000
S-1-22-2-10000
S1-22-2-10000 Is the unix group with uid 10000
( with is also in my case "Domain Users" )
But how this maps again in samba, that i really dont know.
Arg, very confusion all..
Well, at least we now know this by design. Pfew..
Thanks for all the info g...

sambaSamAccount and posixAccount cohabitation
...lish could be worst !;)
My question is about sambaSamAccount and posixAccount objectClasses.
I want the user "test" be mapped to user root (uid=0, gid=0) when logged
into pam over ldap mechanism (such as ssh)
And I want the same user "test" be mapped to user test (uid=1003,
gid=513) when logged to Samba server.
The user test looks like :
