installing 5.3 with 512M ram really slow
I was installing centos 5.3 x86_64 on a sempron 2.7G machine with 512M ram. The install started off fine then REALLY SLOWED down about 70% into install. I did have a swap space. after that it just crawled. I tried restart the install a couple times at 512M. Same thing around 70% the slow down. I then put in 1G of RAM and everything zipped on past and finished fine....

Problem loading images larger than 512M
Hi, I have a machine with 1.5G memory. When I try to boot a image of size 700M, it fails. In fact, it seems like the image is loading downward from 512M. Is this a hardware problem, or something that can be fixed ?

RAM problem
Dear All, I''m new to XEN and I''m trying to get it work under gentoo 2006.0 with a patched 2.16.18-xen kernel. My system does not recognize my 2G of RAM. It only sees 512M! Adding mem=2G or mem=2000M to grub.conf did not help at all. The system continues to see only the dom0_mem=512M Can you explain me why? My grub.conf entry looks like this: title=Xen root (hd0,0) kernel /xen.gz dom0_mem=512M mem=2G module /vmlinuz-xen root = /dev/sda2 thankyou Andrea* * _____...

[PATCH] Included reserved memory regions in dom0 iommu mappings
This adds a boolean boot parameter to xen to allow reserved memory regions to be added to the iommu mappings for dom0. The parameter is "iommu_include_reserved" and is off by default. A warning is also traced when incorrect RMRR to system memory map values are detected. This is being added to address some incorrect BIOS''s that do not report correctly the requied reserved memory

GRUB boot parameters: dom0_mem
I''ve installed Xen Hypervisor 3.0.3 (CentOS 5.7, i386) inside Virtualbox 4.1.16 (Mageia 1, i686) and have noticed that Dom0 is consuming 85% of the memory allocated to the VM (1GB) so I''d like to reduce this as much as possible in order to make more room for one or two VM''s. Is there a minimum amount of vRAM that can/should be allocated to Dom0 (using the dom0_mem boot
