cpu frequency scaling in xen 3.3.1
...esidency [00000000000000000000 ms]
cpu id : 1
total C-states : 0
idle time(ms) : 1771123
[CPU0] failed to get P-states statistics information

/proc/cpuinfo shows:
model name : AMD Athlon(tm) Dual Core Processor 5050e

out of memory
I am getting this message quite often lately.
Centos 5.3, AMD dual core 5050e system x64
1 GIG ram, 4 GIG swap
I dont have that much running that the kernel should be cutting out my processes.
Any thoughts?
Jerry

system sizing
I'm looking to install a basic asterisk system for my church with:
8 inbound sip channels
8 sip handsets
basic voicemail
room to grow (maybe doubling each of the above)
What would be a recomended system as to needed processor and memory?
Thanks,
Eric

Intel Vs AMD
Hi all,
I took my decision to use Asterisk server for handling my VOIP calls...My
next step is to choose the best hardware that I should use i order to have
the best performance...Here I faced 2 choices for my hardware (CPU)...
1- Using Intel CPU or AMD
2- Use 32 or 64 bits
Can you help me please to choose between the above choices and what is the
advantage and disadvantage of each of choices

Motherboard for home zfs/solaris file server
Hello,
I am building a home file server and am looking for an ATX mother board
that will be supported well with OpenSolaris (onboard SATA controller,
network, graphics if any, audio, etc). I decided to go for Intel based
boards (socket LGA 775) since it seems like power management is better
supported with Intel processors and power efficiency is an important
factor. After reading several
