Sluggish performance with virtio and Win10
Hello,
I'm using virt-manager on my F23 box to run a Windows 10 image but the
performance is so bad it's killing me.
I have "vmx" flag in /proc/cpuinfo
# lsmod |grep kvm
kvm_intel 167936 6
kvm 503808 1 kvm_intel
virtio-win-0.1.112-1.noarch
But no virtio modules loaded. Should they be loaded nowadays?
The disk format used is vmdk with no caching and native mode.
The io is 100% in windows task manager performing less than 1MB/s
Any clues?

Wonder if anyone else has actually noticed this and has some kind of

Debugging memdisk loaded via pxelinux
I have a USB flash drive that I'd like to image, and then load that
image via pxelinux and memdisk. The flash drive was formatted under
Windows 98 SE as FAT, and boots just fine on its own. The PXE boot process
gets as far as loading the image via memdisk, but then when the boot process
switches over to the RAM disk, it fails:

Tripplite Smart1500SLT configuration?
I'm read through the archives trying to figure out how to get a
Tripplite SmartPro SLT 1500 configured with NUT using the USB interface
(it also has a serial interface but I'd rather not). The thread which
this link belonged to seemed most instructive:

and I followed it as best I could. I'm running a
