...right-click on your R program icon (the icon on your desktop or in your programs directory). Select ``Properties'', and then select the ``Shortcut'' tab. Look for the ``Target'' field and after the closing quotes around the location of the R executible, add
--max-mem-size=500M
It does not work.
When I add the --max-mem-size=500M in Target field. There is error like as below:
“The name "C:\Program Files\R\R-2.11.0\bin\Rgui.exe"--max-mem-size=500M specified in the Target box is not valid”
I use R2.11.0. in window vista with 3Gb RAM.

heads up: /boot space on kernel upgrade
Default boot volume on Fedora is 500M, with a kernel installonly_limit
of 3. So far this seems sufficient, even accounting for the "rescue
kernel" (which is really a nohostonly initramfs, which is quite a bit
larger than the standard hostonly initramfs used for numbered
kernels).

However, I have noticed that the memory usage on each server has built up

close to 500M even when there were very few calls on the server but nobody
seemed to be able to let me know if they were running at high memory usages
except for Jesse who was telling me that his memory usages have always been
low. Very recently, I noticed that after I rebooted the servers, the memory

OCFS2 strage freezes
Good day, everyone.
I have SAN server build with Openfiler OS, with iSCSI mode turned on. I have
two nodes, which connect to that server via iSCSI, using one of two active
iSCSI partitions. I've installed ocfs2 1.3.3 with kernel 2.6.23.1, configured
it, made ocfs2 partition and was successful in mounting it on both nodes.
Everything works just fine, I can upload file from one node and

Building a NFS server with a mix of HDD and SSD (for caching)

I've added "allow_mixed_block_sizes = 1" to lvm.conf to be able to add
sdb and sdd in the same VG (because of the sector size missmatch). But
as the LVs will only use one and only one PV I guess it's OK.

VM differences between CentOS and current vanilla
...is 3841.
So I would expect Free memory to hover around 4MB.
However, instead, it seems to seek out about 150M free.
If I do a dd from /dev/md0 to /dev/null, the free memory does drop to
around 25MB. But then, as the system is used, it drifts back to...
about 150M.
Swap varies between 100M and 500M, and buffer+cache runs around 500M.
I'm pretty sure that we access enough different data that it should be
using some of the 150M free for buffers+cache.
Swappiness is set to the default 60.
Any comments?
Thanks,

how to disable quota for second namespace?
Hi all,
I have a second namespace as archive, where no quota should be active
(work with type = shared).
But if I change the type to private the quota will allways count.
My dovecot version is the 2.0.13.
I have tried things like this:
plugin {
quota_rule = *:storage=500M
quota_rule2 = Trash:storage=+100M
quota_rule3 = Sent:storage=+50M
quota_rule4 = ns=archiv/%u/:ignore
}
It's also doesn't work with "quota_rule4 = archiv/%u/:ignore"
The namespace:
namespace {
type = private
separator = /
prefix = "archiv/%u/"

SELinux resource hog
...Core 2 Duo box with 2GB of ram (usually
with some 1GB free) was generally below 0.4 for the last 24hrs,
averaging 0.23 based on MRTG.
Once I did setenforce 1, load shot through the roof to fluctuate
between 3 to 5. As per my past experience setroubleshootd started
chewing up ram more than 600M and 500M worth of virt and res based on
top. The server started crawling and php apps stopped communicating
with mysql.
I had to kill setroubleshootd in order to return things to normal.
This again reflects my original experience with SELinux: massive
resource hog and this is just a lowly loaded webserver...
