Adaptec 4port tulip card - IRQ-Sharing dom0/domU
Hello, I''m running xen-3.0.2-3 and try to share the 4 ports of a adaptec 4port ethernet card between dom0 and domU by using pciback.hide. Therefor I had to modify the domU driver for the tulip cards due to the fact that there is only one eeprom on the board and all 4 ports of the card are using the same interrupt line. When starting the dom0 tulip driver (unmodified) I get tw...

New 4port FXS
Well, I got my nice new 4 port FXS card this afternoon, and with all my other asterisk problems, decided now was a good time to throw it in.... So far, I have dropped it in, done a clean cvs checkout on zapata, zaptel, asterisk, make clean and make install on each. I can load the wcfxs module which finds the card (though one time it failed the register check and locked the machine up, a hard

"scratchy" sound on TE410P
asterisk 1.4.35 dahdi 2.3.0.1+2.3.0 one span on a 4port T1 card Got complaints this morning that outbound and inbound calls were "scratchy" and I made a few test calls. It kind of sounds like the gain is too high somewhere, and the audio is overdriven. Is this a problem at the carrier? I'm trying to call them now, but it's Sunda...

Problems hanging up PSTN line
I am having problems with * not hanging up an incoming PSTN line, if that line is not answered before the person calling in hangs up. The line hangs in various states, it has hung with a busy tone, with no tone at all. I am running *@home and have a digium 4port line card. This was configured by the genzaptel command I then added trunks for each line. I also have a Pulver WiSip phone which I need to be able to transfer calls on by dialing a prefix. Eg *2<ext> Any help on either problem would be greatly appreciated, I'm still learning my way...

eSATA drive enclosure of a full PC?
HI All, I have a dilemma and I would appreciate advice 1. Get a good size case, mobo, processor, etc and put 8 hard drives it in and RAID them. (yes an 8 port SATA mobo). Running CentOS. or 2. Get an eSATA enclosure that has room for 8 or 10 drives and just connect it to box? I know that RAID is not a full proof backup, but I am looking for a solution to store all of my data, projects, music,

Asterisk echo & fxotune
...gh info in my last query. I'm having massive echo problems on our sip<=>fxo connections & have been reading up on echo cancellation & such. When I try to run fxotune I get the following error: Could not fill input buffer Tuning module 25.Failure! The system has two of the digium 4port fxo cards & one T1 card (which isn't fully configured yet) (1-24 are the T1card) Has anyone seen this error? the only hits I've found on google all point to the source code. This happens even if I remove the T1 card. Thx in advance for any insight.

Intel 537ep
Owias, The 537 is, for the most part, a drop-in replacement for the Digium card. Please search the archive and the Wiki, as there have recently been several discussions about this exact subject. To my knowledge that is about the only modem that works, but keep in mind it is _not_ supported. That being said, follow the instructions on Digium's site for installing the X100P and you should be

Anyone using the Micronet FXS/FXO devices w/SIP
I tried setting up a Micronet 4port 2 fxs 2fxo device using sip. I found that I could get multiple fxs ports to register with *. I also found that no matter what dialed on as an fxs user when dialing out it would try to go out the fxo side of the micronet. I also had major problems with these devices behind nat. I was having so mu...

Will a VIA Epia ME6000 with a 600MHz Eden fanless CPU be suffiecient for 8 extension system?
Hello I am using a VIA Epia ME6000 with a 600MHz Eden Fanless CPU. Is this likely to be enough power for a 8 extension system with 6 external pstn lines? How important is cpu? Is there some measure, eg xMHz CPU per extension or something benchmark? I have installed 512MB memory - again any benchmark for asterisk memory usage? Angus
