Hi All, I have a coupla queries about my 2 latest installs of CentOS 4-3. When I first installed and logged in as the initial user, everything went well, and the system was fast. A reboot, and 2nd login gave the same. But, upon connecting to the net, the system hung at sendmail for almost 4mins, and then gave an error at login about not finding the host, and that Gnome may not work correctly, with options of Continue or try Again. ...ce. I've had samba running nicely for a couple of months, however I needed to change the ip addresses for my network. Since changing the ip addresses, whenever I start WinXp and log on it takes about 3-4 mins to log on. Also when I try to browse using windows explorer I sometimes have to wait 3-4mins, then I get the same delay when logging off. If I use dos though and change to the samba drive it works straight away. I'm running Samaba 2.2.7a on RH8. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Hi, I am trying to get faster search results on our webmail client(Roundcube). Besides using Lucene for FTS are there other options? Would having all mails indexed give fast results? Currently the time it takes to search 25,000mails is 4mins. If indexed how much faster are we looking at? Really appreciate if someone could advise about this. Thanks Kevin
