Support for NBD block status in nbdkit & qemu NBD client
...is we're actually copying the source over the network, but the command line for that is too complicated to show in a simple example). VDDK has an API for querying allocated blocks, see ‘VixDiskLib_QueryAllocatedBlocks’ in https://vdc-download.vmware.com/vmwb-repository/dcr-public/8f96698a-0e7b-4d67-bb6c-d18a1d101540/ef536a47-27cd-481a-90ef-76b38e75353c/vsphere-vddk-671-programming-guide.pdf It's awkward to use but Martin (CC'd) has played with it and it does seem to work. The question is if we add Structured Replies + Block Status support to nbdkit & implement it for the VDDK pl...

Why still no PKCS#11 ECC key support in OpenSSH ?
Hi, I was trying to get OpenSSH portable working with my Yubikey.? A key was present on the token but generated using the ECCP384 algorithm. This lead to many obscure goose-chase red-herring error messages from OpenSSH such as the delightful "Could not add card : agent refused operation" or other nonsense that was meaningless and unhelpful. Many hours later in Mr Google's company,

add keys and certificate to forwarded agent on remote host
Apologies if this post is inappropriate to this list; please redirect me if so. Our team uses ssh extensively for server access and maintenance (Debian). An issue is acting as root when operating, for example, over ansible and keeping a record of who performed the actions, something ssh certificates solves well. The problem is then to automate certificate issuance since it would be pretty

[PATCH NOT WORKING nbdkit] vddk: Restructure plugin to allow greater parallelism.
We had a query yesterday about the VDDK plugin and making it actually obey the weird "Multithreading Considerations" rules in the VDDK documentation (https://vdc-download.vmware.com/vmwb-repository/dcr-public/8f96698a-0e7b-4d67-bb6c-d18a1d101540/ef536a47-27cd-481a-90ef-76b38e75353c/vsphere-vddk-671-programming-guide.pdf) This patch is my attempt to implement this. The idea is that the plugin starts a background thread and routes all calls to certain VDDK functions through this thread, ensuring that the "Multithread...

On a side note, try recently released health report tool, and see if it does diagnose any issues in setup. Currently you may have to run it in all the three machines.
